A/N: Ok, so this is my first Vampire Diaries fic. But I HAD to write something Tyler/Caroline related- these two are amazing, seriously. i enjoyed your perspective. If only the series took your direction in their relationship ... I guess we'll have to wait and see. Good Forwood fic!

Thanks very much. I'm looking forward to seeing what the writers do with Forwood- I have loved it up til now. Vampire + werewolf was never going to = easy relationship so I kinda like that the writers have begun to look at it so early. The only thing I really don't like is that neither character is really given the opportunity to explain themselves properly. But the speech that Tyler made to Matt gives me real hope for Forwood in the long term. The writers haven't set up some little crush they have set up (on Tyler's side at least) something much more than that. He showed that he cares enough to put her first in a way that even Stefan couldn't with Elena. I will bet that Forwood is part of the long term game.
Ok, sooooooooooo sorry for long forwood rant... I just couldn't help myself :P

I feel the same. Their relationship will never be easy ... I personally don't want it to be ... that's what I enjoy about it! There is so much unexplored potential between them. I too wish there were more scenes with them exploring what is happening to them in relation to each other. I had hoped the confrontation with them by the car would have lasted longer. I wanted her to try and explain to him personally ... NOT through Stefan. I wanted him to personally say goodbye to Caroline ... maybe at the very least leave her a letter. I wish Forward IS the end game. I miss their scenes together *** cross fingers *** that Tyler comes back soon!

Can I butt in and say that I completely agree with you? It's such an epic storyline/romance, not to mention a classic one (RE: Romeo and Juliet). The writers of the show would be seriously bad at their jobs if they let this plot slip through the cracks. But I doubt they have; rather, it seems like they've made a deliberate effort to create the foundation for a long term plot between Caroline and Tyler.

Also, I liked your story! :)

I agree with you ... but I see them more as Underworld rather than Romeo and Juliet ... cause I DON'T want them to die - LOL!

LOL, yeah... minus that whole dying part... But basically the same thing as Underworld too--the lovers from feuding families. So wrong but so right!

The thing is that the writers seem to have found a ship that the majority of people like. I don't know one person who watches the show that has a real problem with them. Meanwhile there are mixed opinions about every other couple on the show. The writers would indeed be nuts to miss such a great oppurtunity and it is very romeo/juliet-ish storyline (though hopefully without the deaths :P) the whole idea of fate working against them is all very epic. And couldn't agree with you more with regard to the well-laid foundations for the future.

I know what you mean ... even though there are some die hard Caroline and Matt shippers, no one can deny the potential epic storylines for Caroline and Tyler. Werewolf bites kill vampires, ancient werewolf/vampire feud, their primitive natures, the whole sun and moon curse. Not to mention their conflicts with one another due to their lies and inaction that they need to overcome. I hope KW & JP explore their relationship for many more seasons.

You are so right there is soooooooooooooooooo much they can do with T/C. What they can do with M/C is only vaguely interesting at the moment because I want to know if Matt is going to let it slip/tell Caroline about what Tyler said. Once they are done with exploring the triangle from that angle there really isn't anywhere to go with it. So I am looking forward to plenty more forwood in the future :) (as long as the writers don't mess it up :P)

I agree. You can butt in anytime. I love the natural and organic progression of their relationship ... the foundation for an epic love story *** crosses fingers ***

I totally agree with everything you said! And despite thinking that last week's episode was made of all kinds of epic I really, really missed the T/C scenes! No matter what degree of emotion is involved their scenes are always really powerful. I am hoping he will be back soon too, though for the progression of their relationship I think it's good that he left. I would love it if he returned to town in order to protect Caroline from some new threat he'd found out about. There would be some great initial awkwardness and then forwood could really make some progress :)
