Traffic jams. My journey in to work has extended beyond the sixty minute mark and it is starting to "do my head in" (which is a phrase I love.)
I had fifteen glorious months of a 20 minute commute and now it is getting on for an hour and a quarter no matter how early I leave. This is mainly down to the massive contraflow on the A406 which means 30 minutes of <1 mph. I love the Today Programme on Radio 4, but it is starting to lose its flavour. The news at the moment is too bleak, so I have switched to comedy.
On the whole, though, I'd rather not have to struggle through the rush-hour by car or on the tube. It is sucking the joy out of the day even before it has started. Not even comedy can help.
