Josh just asked me for a book, he does this via a combination of Makaton and also the word "book." It is getting more distinct

He went over to the bookshelf, stood on tiptoe, and took down a copy of the Seamus Heaney translation of "Beowulf." As he handed it to me he grinned and said "Hwæt!"[1]
