(no subject)
2 weeks of school down and some colleges havent even started their spring semesters. I am already stressed! I am taking 6 classes, all are 4 hrs long except for one that is 3. 5 of my classes are art classes (the 4 hr courses). There's a lot of work that comes with it! So with having a long list of things to do in a short period of time, I decided that I would manage my time wisely and do the best I can. Hoping that I would do a lot of work today and tomorrow (thursday into friday), I could possibly have little or no work to do saturday and sunday. How likely is that? Not very likely!
Anyway, the point of this post is to RANT about school. Didn't see that coming, I know. ;) Why the hell do I have to paint to become a graphic designer? I hate painting. I even hate drawing. (And yes - you can become a graphic designer without proper drawing skills! What a shock! lol) Anyways, I'm currently taking a Pastel class. This would be my second pastel class since I had to take Pastel I last semester. I am required to take both Pastel I and II. If it wasn't required I would not be ranting. Why is it freaking required? Why do I need to take something that I have absolutely no interest in at all? I suck at it. I don't need to go into a classroom and listen to my classmates and professor tell me what I need to improve. Honestly, i don't even care. I don't like painting, I hated the exerience of painting this pastel painting and I could care less if I EVER paint one again!!!!!! Obviously I am struggling with a painting. The first painting of the semester might I add. This is gonna suck.
Schedule:
Monday: 8:45 (because 9:00 isn't good enough for her!!) - 12:50 - Pastel II
Tuesday: 1:40 - 5:30 - Design Theory IV, 6:00 - 9:50 - Digital Photography
Wednesday: 9:00 - 12:50 - Web Design II, 6:00 - 8:50 - Religion: Patterns of Thought
Thursday: 9:40 - 1:15 - Video Exploration
Its gonna be a loooong semester!
