like the man says...

i guess iz been a good day.

to follow: everything from CHOCOLATE MOUSSE to LOS ANGELES to ROCKSTARDOM to BIRTHDAYS...and more!

whooooa man. greek and german food in the same day...
i have finally been fed food in portland oregon that has enough flavor for me. yowzah.
there's a lot to be said for purple octopi and chocolate mousse that goes on for about six miles.
too sleepy for pilates now, dammit.
the remains of the mousse are calling to me from the refrigerator.
*giggles at the mental image*
it's yet another series of kids books waiting to happen.
moose in the fridge...meets rabbit in the fridge...meets iguana in the fridge...meets degu in the fridge (I met degus today. They're bizarre, but in the cutest way possible)...meets kitten in the fridge (no, now it's getting dirty)...meets dragon in the fridge
and they have a ...party in the fridge
yep. tired and punchy, that's what it says under sooj in the wikipedia right now.

we made our delivery to CDBaby this afternoon, so now they have ten copies of Tales From The Road in stock.
it would be so cool if i had to drop off twenty more b/c those ten find good homes before i leave for Los Angeles next week...
NUDGE
sorry. i was marketing again, wasn't i?

it's been a great week, thanks to stealthcello and her family, and thanks to Sam, Bobert, Rose, and Heidi in Wilsonville. It ain't over yet, either. I get to make fiendish house concert plans in a scant few hours with dtaylor and copperwise.
and i forgot to mention that the phone STILL works, after its second Washing Machine Ride.
Nokia: making phones for people who beat the shit out of their phones and are too busy/poor/stubborn to buy new ones since nineteen blah dee blah.

HAPPY M. EFFIN HATCHING DAY SATYRBLADE! I wish you lots of yummy sex and good dreams and inspiration with time to act upon it....or maybe just act up. be sure to tell us all what you would claim for your birthday tithe, o world-weaving horned lord...
AND to all my best loved fellow aquarians and cuspers: i love you. the earth, at least my part of it, is a better place for your having entered the world under this particular set of hours and stars.

Yah. s00j v26.0 in... 12-ish days. gick..! and to think it hasn't even been a week since i was mistaken for a minor--we're talking kid's menu, here-- in a restaurant. of course, i couldn't resist the crayons after the fact.

new songs in the percolator: the story says Rapunzel sang in her tower, but What did she sing?
Wendy part 3 (Green-eyed Sue and the Lost Girls)
A Drop of Gypsy Blood
Song of the Sailor's Widow
fun half-historical Pirate musings on Anne Bonny and Mary Reed, etc..
Pretty heavy on the potential material for Green-eyed Sue, who will become a full-fledged RenFaire act by late Spring of this year. I have her introduction written, and will post it here. Love to know what you guys think of that.

Missing my Memphis crowd, particularly the darling femmes and the all-har bebe Queens, and Colonials go without saying...you know who you are.
It's been good, up here in PDX and SEATAC. In not many days, K and I leave for L. A., which for me represents Uncharted Waters. I already know that Burner hearts and friends already met will be there to welcome us with open arms--suddenly I have two house concerts in Los Angeles to add to my schedule!--but my hackles are still slightly on the rise. I only recently proved to myself that California exists at all.
It is going to be so sweet, however, to see so many people I met at Burning Man again, and hopefully get to sing for them, or at least Light the Night.

Also, we'll be tackling New England for the first time at the end of March. If any of you have 'peeps out there who might shelter a poor Bard and her devoted lover, do let me know. Everywhere east of Jersey is still hinterland to me.

new england, german food, house concert, memphis, nokia, greek food, aquarians, new songs, cdbaby, los angeles, pdx, chocolate mousse
