This was a magnificent piece - it just topped the list as my all-time favourite one-shot “Harry Potter” fanfics, and I’m not just saying that because it was written for me for this fest. It truly was a wondrous piece of erotic, romantic literature and represents the best this fandom has to offer, in my humble opinion.
What started out as curiosity, became an issue of needing to let go of the past and of finding personal redemption - that is this story’s over-arcing plot. That drive guides Harry into bringing he, Hermione, and Draco together (and ironically, keeps Ron out). In each other’s arms, the three exorcise the demons of their childhood and the war (in deliciously sensual and erotic ways). In the aftermath of their one night, the three each discover the important lessons of forgiveness and acceptance, and begin to build something wonderful on that foundation.
As I wrote in my review in the comments section: ”It was beautifully written, with so much emotion, and the characterizations were wonderful, the pacing was even, the plot was well-constructed and executed, and the sex scenes were explosive.” I give it 10 out of 10 stars and HIGHLY recommend it.
