Of course we want to talk about boys
So I've been meeting a lot of guys. Most of them are cute. A handful of them are even charming. Very few make a lasting impact.
Dating in Belgium has its own challenges. Language is one particular barrier. While everyone speaks some degree of English, it's hardly the first language of the majority. I have been able to conduct some dates entirely in French, although with my wonky grammar, I do wonder sometimes if I sound illiterate. Either way, it's okay for a first date, but I don't think I can do successive dates in French. It would drive me insane.
Anyway, my optimism with men is eroding with each new guy. I now know better than to get excited coz this one guy seemed sweet. The sweetness rarely lasts.
I met this one guy over the weekend, though, that made me raise some hopes. We haven't even kissed or anything, and we only had that one date, however, I have a good feeling about this one. Which I shouldn't trust at all given the track record of other guys here that have made me feel the same way.
I'm honestly tired of dating, but I don't know why I'm still doing it. I'll just see where things go with this one guy, and hopefully something nice comes out of it.
