Writer's Block: Really, Truly

Mar 13, 2009 12:56

True love?  Yeah, definitely exists!  I think a lot of people take it for granted, or rather, have extraordinary thoughts or standards behind "true love."  It's not a "perfect" love, it's just a legitimate (thus the word true,) love.  True love doesn't mean it has to work out, that it has to be forever, that it has to be the most glorious thing to ever happen to you, but it sure as hell is applicable to make that of it since it's the real sha-bang!  True love definitely exists, but people either refuse to believe it does, stay scared of it, or have their, what I think are, silly thoughts for what "True Love" really is.

Since there's such a disconnect between ones fantasy or wants compared to reality, I think most people end up disappointed easily and act stupid and quickly on that.  Divorces, cheating, violence all because they feel they deserve better for themselves, because the other person isn't being what they want them to be.  We're just in an age of instant gratification, and I think it's affected a lot more than we think about as a whole.  Time is always a substantial part of fixing anything.  Everyone wants their time, but they want it RIGHT NOW!  <-- Hey, that's not bad!  Copyright!

Love At First Sight... yes and no~  Definitely attraction at first sight, yeah.  But if that person is really beautiful to you, and it turns out that they're actually pretty chill when you talk to them, then from there you hit it off and roll from there to loving either other, then that'd be kinda a "Love At First Sight."  It's a legitimate situation, it does happen in our world, and while it's not as common as maybe the movies make one wanna (not) believe, I think that it does really exist in a sense.  Even in spite of the people who refuse it to be true, like true love. Hah!  Zing!

Maybe it's more like... Lucky After First Sight?  Hahahaha!

RESPONSE TO THE RESPONSES EDIT:  Hahaha, I think it's kinda funny how people reference the existence of "True Love" by if it's happening to them (or a close relative or friend,) or not.   If not, then I see lot of bitterness in the post and it goes downhill from there.   C'mon!  With an attitude like that, one is never gonna get hooked up, especially with anyone decent because you're gonna be down in the dumps, and probably hook up with someone with the same feelings.  it's gonna be two giant brick walls between the both of ya, and when it doesn't work out, "WHAT COULD HAVE POSSIBLY GONE WRONG?!?! WAAAAAAAHHH!"

Okay, now I'm just getting mean.

But still, there are a few I saw who had no "True Love" happenings around them, and ever with previous breakups, who are very optimistic.  Good for them!  Seriously!
