Hellsing Fic Stuff (Info on A Different Story and Old Fics)
So, I don't know if I'll finish the second part of Final Retribution anytime soon. I don't know where to go with it anymore. I only had ideas for how to start it, and I figured the rest would just come to me as I wrote. How very wrong I was. *lol* Soooo, that's on hold until I can think of something that would do justice to the Hellsing manga.
Same with Oblivion. I have major writers block with that so that will be on hold for a while until I think of something.
However, I do have a new story idea that I will be working on until I can get ideas for my other fics. Don't know what it will be called yet, but I've got the whole background for it layed out.
It will be an Alternate Universe fic, though not overly so. The premise is that Integral was not born to Arthur Hellsing, but to Peter Hellsing, the son of Richard. Ooooh, crazy. XD Anyway, Arthur died around the same time in Hellsing proper, and in the same way. But in my story, he had no child, so left the family headship to Richard, who already had his son Peter. Well, since we all know Richard was an incompitent fool, he was killed soon after Arthur's death during a mission, leaving his son to run Hellsing at age 26. (Let's say Richards wife died many years earlier by some cause that no one really cares about.) Peter married at age 27 and had Integral by age 29. Peter's wife died a year later due to increasing complications because of Integral's birth. Peter hated Integra because she was the "cause" of his wife's death, and also because she was born a girl, and he had wanted a son. In his mind, a girl could not take over Hellsing and run it sufficiently. (Stupid bastard. XD)
Ahem, so yes, this is very detailed. And I'm not done yet! For those of you that have gotten this far, thanks. Please keep reading. ^^
Three years after Peter's wife's death, Peter remarried and a year after that he had a son he named James Hellsing. By this time, Integra is 5 years old.
Peter always treated Integra badly, but pampered his son, planning to leave the family headship to James, even though Integral was older. The only person that ever treated Integral well was Walter. James hardly spoke to his sister, so Integra figured he was stuck up and hated her like her father. Integra's step mother hated Integra because she was the daughter of Peter's first wife, whom Peter seems to always bring up.
So that's the back story. The fic will probably begin when Integra is 12, like in Hellsing. (I know she's 12 because somewhere in the latest chapters I recall someone saying Integra was 22, meaning she would have been 12 ten years ago when she found Alucard.) Her younger brother, James, would be 7. Vampires attack the Hellsing manor, aiming to kill James and Integra, the two possible heirs to Hellsing. They kill Carol Hellsing, Peter's current wife, and a lot of the house staff. Walter and Peter are in Rome at this time discussing a possible treaty between Iscariot and Hellsing, so they don't get back until three days after the attack. Integra would act much like she did in Hellsing, leading her brother through the air vents to the basement to hide. (She doesn't know about Alucard. No one does but Walter, who was told by Arthur Hellsing to keep the existance of the Nosferatu a secret.) Integra goes out of the air vents first to check that the basement is safe, and tells her brother to stay in the air vent, no matter what, and he is not to come out until she calls for him. Integra finds Alucard then, much in the same way she does in Hellsing. The only difference being that the vampires are the ones that corner her in Alucard's cell, not Richard and his men.
Sooo, that's the idea I have running through my head. Anyone think it's worth it to start writing? It would probably go the way of the manga, including Millennium and all that. The only difference would be who is in charge of Hellsing, how Integra gains the family headship, and how Alucard and Integra's relationship starts and grows. I'm thinking since Integra is the one to awaken him, like in Hellsing, he drinks her blood, bonding him to her, not Peter or James. Meaning he only listens to Integra, though no one knows that because Integra would make him pretend to listen to Peter's wishes. Or something like that.
So, good ideas? Bad ideas? Anything you think needs tweaking because it's way too crazy? Let me know your opinions! XP
