Synopsis: Kai persuaded invited Reita to the park...around two in the morning.
Comments: OMG, a Reita/Kai fic. Never written one before but somehow this pairing leaped and chewed at me and demanded I write a fic on them. =/
Reita groaned in frustration. Someone had been knocking at his door for ten minutes already. He hoped that the person would leave at the first couple of seconds.
After all, it was only two in the morning. Everyone should be sleeping by now!
For the last ten minutes, he tried his best to go back to sleep, blanket tightly wrapped around his body and pillow over his head but…that person kept on knocking.
He groaned once again. When will it stop…?
Suddenly, the knocking stopped.
Lifting his head up, he made sure silence reached his ears. There was no knocking. He sighed in relief as he drifted back to sleep.
And then…
There it goes again. The blonde growled, lifting himself off the bed and stomping towards the door. Swinging it open in irritation, he stood face to face with someone none other than Kai. The brunette simply smiled. He was dressed in a black overcoat and shoes, white scarf, and thin beige pants. He was also holding a black bag in one hand and a pair of white gloves in the other.
Sighing in frustration, Reita asked, “What…do you want, Kai? It’s two in the morning and you’ve been knocking at my door for ten minutes. What happened to that spare key I gave you?”
“Well…it’s at home. I barely realized I forgot the key by the time I arrived here.” The brunette replied.
The bassist rubbed his temple with a hand. “And your cell phone? If you didn’t have the key, you could’ve called.”
“Same. It’s at home.”
Reita sighed. Kai was never this forgetful when coming over. “Okay, okay,…so tell me what are you doing here at this time.”
The drummer smiled innocently, “I want you to come with me to the park.”
The other man stared in disbelief. “…To the park?”
“Yeah, so can you get dress? You must be cold.”
Reita shifted his gaze to his appearance and immediately agreed. Who wouldn’t get cold in just black sweatpants?
“You’d better tell me what’s the purpose of this when we’re there.” He warned before heading back to his room, leaving the door wide open for Kai to enter.
The brunette stretched his arms a bit and turned his head left and right. Reita sure was stubborn. He thought he was going to get the door slammed right at his face. Oh wait. Even if the bassist does so, he could always use the spare key. (It wasn’t easy lying to Reita about that…)
A few minutes later, Reita came out in a black coat, blue jeans, and worn white tennis shoes. He didn’t wear his nose strap but he brought it along just in case.
“Okay, let’s go.” Locking the door, Reita and Kai then headed off towards the park.
--
The park was completely empty.
The blonde shivered lightly, the cold wispy breezes drifted pass them as they strode by. Why the hell did he agreed to come with the drummer?
“Come on, let’s go towards the grass and eat.” Kai dragged the other man to the left.
“Uh…I guess.” the bassist mumbled, following the other man.
Upon stopping at their destination, Reita realized something. “You asked me to come here just to eat in the park?!”
The drummer pulled out a crimson red cloth and draped it onto the grass. “Hmm…that’s partially the reason, I suppose. Want to guess a little more?”
Crossing his arms, the blonde raised a brow in incredulity. “No, tell me.”
Kai tapped his chin with a finger. “Um…I want to watch the stars. I want to check out the surroundings here at night and…I’d rather have you find out my last reason.”
“Uh huh…”
“Well…let’s eat, shall we?” The drummer brought out two set of boxed lunches from the bag.
Reita frowned softly before giving in. Taking the boxed lunch offered, he opened it and resisted the urge to grin. At least Kai remembered not to put any vegetables in his lunch. The drummer had forgotten so many times it was driving him nuts.
Taking the first bite of meat, he looked up to the tree besides him. It was one of the largest trees around the area. Since it was Autumn, the leaves were colored in gold, red, and brown. He never did take the time to watch the leaves fall…too many things had to be done before he ever had the time to.
Finishing his meal 15 minutes later, he thanked Kai for the food, albeit hesitantly. Kai grinned widely at this as he continued on with his own. The bassist then stood up and headed over to the tree he was watching and picked a still-healthy leaf that fell from the tree. The tip was brown but the rest was deep red.
Twirling the bottom between the index and thumb, he strode back to the drummer until he stood right behind him. Kai tilted his head up in suspicion. Reita grinned before leaning down for a quick kiss.
“Here you go.” He placed the leaf on the drummer’s hair and sat down next to him.
“Eh?” Kai’s hand immediately went up to his head, his face slightly red from the kiss. Pouting softly, he pulled out the leaf and raised a brow in question.
“Will you tell me your last reason now?” The bassist asked. He knew the reason some time ago but he’d rather hear it from the other man.
Clearing his throat, the brunette thought for a moment. Looking over to the blonde, he then leaned over for another kiss and replied, “I want to spent some time with you.”
“Hm…” Reita returned the kiss. “Took you long enough.”
