Art and Fanmix: The End Opening Into New Ends Always

Jun 24, 2011 01:35

I swear to god I will post something other than art and mixes eventually.

about: Companion art and mix for literary_critic's 1920s Castle AU, The End Opening Into New Ends Always. It's a fabulous murder mystery.

The mix is mainly contemporary covers of semi-period music, with some contemporary and semi-period music mixed in (actually, the music is more 1930s-40s, but it worked out better this way. Hush).

New York City, 1925, Katherine Beckett walks into a joint and starts asking questions about a murder, capturing the attention of one Richard Castle, struggling writer extraordinare. Inspired, he tags along as they unravel the mystery surrounding her mother's murder years before.

And the cares that hung around me through the week
Seem to vanish like a gambler’s lucky streak
When we’re out together dancing cheek to cheek

Your words poetic are not pathetic.
On the other hand, babe, you shine
