One of the other staff lent me the copy of Wicked Lovely she'd checked out from the Education library. I'm only a few pages in, but the conceit is fun, if rather cliche.
I'm mentally substituting "Jessica" for the main character's name, though. This sort of story works best with an ordinary girl, and "Ainslinn" is just too darkity-dark a name for me to take seriously in that role.
The fact that the love interest/fairy king is named "Keenan" makes me giggle too, because I think of
these guys. So I'm going to have to substitute it for Kellen or Warren or something suitable.
Yeah, it's really hard to take this book seriously.
