Oh, bloody hell, bosses. You have to jerk me around, right? I knew I was covering until you hired someone, but you know you could have pushed back the guy's start-date by a bloody week so I could go from covering his position to covering the other position you want me to cover without a gap. But no, he starts on Monday, and that means I get a random ten-day gap where I'm not working and I'm not getting paid.

(I know, I have an on-call thing with another library in my area and I can let them know I'm free that week, but still. Really annoying.)
Edit: Oh hey! My on-call boss emailed me to ask if I was free next Tuesday, even without me telling her I'm free next week. So I have at least one day of work next week.
