God, Supernatural fandom, just STOP. Please! I was already in over-analyze mode from thinking thinky thoughts about race and gender in Heroes and comics and stuff and now THIS?

Okay, yes. Katie Cassidy got caught underage drinking. Yes, she gave them someone else's name. When called on it she immediately apologized and said she'd done it ( Read more... )

I can see that-- someone pointed out on F_W that she's probably on SmokingGun and PerezHilton because she's David Cassidy's daughter, not because of SPN. So, to an extent I can see that. But most people in Supernatural fandom, or at least a good portion of those spewing venom, seem to be taking the "she's not high profile, I don't even know who she is" tack.

It is interesting, and in some ways it explains some of the discrepancy between the way the J2 barfight story and this were recieved. (and, IIRC, there was an interview a while back where Jared or Jensen essentially admitted to B&E or shoplifting or something but would give details because he "didn't know if the statute of limitations was up"-- no one made a flap about that either.)

Yeah, but someone pointed out in the F_W post about it-- think about the reaction if Jared had told a story about how, when he was a few weeks shy of his 21st birthday he got drunk in a friends car and when the cop pulled them over he got so freaked he gave a friend's name and birthday-- but got the age mixed up and got called on it! Everyone would have gone all flaily-armed over how CUTE it must have been.

I don't know if women want to see women in shit, but i do think people often see it as more shocking, and following the "if it bleeds, it leads" shock style of reporting, anyhting that seems "more shocking" is probably going to end up being reported on more often. Blargh double standards.

But I didn't know she was a celeb and I'm totally digging her! Of course, I wasn't prepared to hate her in advance because she had a vagina.

Bela is win. I can't wait to see of her being more morally ambiguous (am still behind). Maybe I like Ruby because she comes off as better in comparison with Kristen Bell over on Heroes, who seems to be filling a sort of similar character but far less effectively.

Tim Kring had a long interview where he basically admitted he fucked up with the beginning of the season, which is nice. Hopefully things will now get better.

Well, see, that was a plus because they rehashed some stuff from S1 all over again in S2 and that one of the problems.

Oh hell yes.

Which was useful to me, since I probably would have been lost otherwise-- I knew basic stuff, but it tended to be things like "there's a serial killer who eats brains," "Doctor Who pushed a guy off a building," and "The Petrellis are having sex all over the place."

I'm writing a Kaito/Angela fic for undermistletoe. Because the connection between all of the people in the photograph is that they all had sex with Kaito Nakamura. :D

It's more like, "Oh, Peter's discovering his powers! Hay wait, he did that last season." I miss Doctor Who.

Rawr. I can get behind that.

I was a little distracted by him macking on the Irish chick all over the bar. Because the rest of his plot was really generic. Peter = kinda blah. Everyone misses Doctor Who. They should have Martha guest star.

I just have to decide between my prompts: "The Executive's Surprise Baby" or "The Magnate's Marriage Demand."

Martha's coming to Torchwood though! Peter is always blah unless he's having UST with his brother or Doctor Who.

I vote #2.

I know! I hope she will make out with EVERYONE and be awesome. Peter is really, amazingly generic. We should replace him with Martha, really.

"Angela, marry me." "...Are you drunk?"
