So, I'm taking my break, yeah, debating with myself whether I could afford the 150 to get a permanent account, since my paid time expired today. I'm dithering, staring at my computer, when I hear Carmelita say my name. I look up and CHEEZUS. There's this UPS guy with a gigantic 1-800-FLOWERS box in his arms, looking for me. I'm all "WTF, ese?" He hands me the pakage and I have to check the name on the box a couple of times before I'm convinced that, yes, it is for me.
Everyone else is "serious, WTH?" And teasing me and shit. And I'm totally weirded by the fact that someone sent me lilies and roses for no apparent reason. Heather had to point out that the card was stuck to the outside of the box, or I never would have noticed. Turns out my vieja missed me so much she decided to send me flowers.
Well, I assume it was my güisa, my girl, since no one else knows how much I like cala lilies, or would send a note saying "Hey nerd. You look pretty today." And also, she responded to my text message with "NOW EVERYONE YOU WORK WITH KNOWS I LOVE YOU SO THERE HAH."
I'm a little bit giddy, yes.
