December 31, 2010. Jeep driver hits me while I'm riding my BMW
After Christmas in the Keys with my Daughter,
I took the F-250 Super Duty and trailered the BMW K1200GT to Houston to spend New Year's with an expat friend.
New Yaer's Eve: At 3:30 pm , I was life flighted to Memorial Hermann Hospital. Someone driving a Jeep Wrangler had made
a u-turn and t-boned me while I was in the outside lane. The jerk didn't even turn into his lane.
Recent conversation with a lady in records at Memorial Hermann:
Me: Hello Ma'am, I'd like to get a copy of my records for an E.R. visit.
Her: All you need to do is come here and sign a release form and pay the cost for copying.
Me: I'm not sure where you are located, can you tell me where you are?
Her: We're across from the cafeteria.
Me: Ma'am, I'm calling you from Florida, but I'll be in Houston in 2 days, and I need better directions.
( Memorial Hermann spans 4 city blocks and is made up of 10 buildings and 6 parking garages, at least )
Her: Oh, I have your records here.
Me: Would it be possible to get the records while I wait.
Her; Yeah, there's not that many - only about 12 pages.
Me: Where should I go to get them ?
Her: It's the same place you were life-flighted to.
Me: Ma'am, I was unconscience.
Her: Oh, you need an address ?
Me: Yes.
Her: It's ..... blah blah blah.....
Great ! Thank you, see you Tuesday.
