(no subject)
hello out there in LJ-land! (those of you who are left anyway)
soo...all those hundreds of cuts and samples and measurements i prepared for all those tests are now trash. yep...2 weeks and about $5K later, LP decides to sell their decking industry. so my project is now pointless and they decided to put me on a new project. I really hate this project...like damn! i was on a project that had a nice balance of hands-on work and desk work....and now i'm 100% desk work. I'm doing research consulting for a brand new line of products that i'm actually legally bound not to talk about. (at least not in text or anything where competitors could hear about it).
weekends are still hard. they're getting better because i've been able to hang out with rich (jj's friend) and sometimes with nathan (intern number 3)...although nathan dosn't really want to do anything. and weekend before last was very nice because i was in charlotte for allison's birthday...lots of fun! last weekend was still pretty hard...at least friday night and saturday day. i got to thinking about a lot of things....and thats never good...got to go drinking with rich saturday night, so that was a nice change.
I had a tonsil stone. yeah...thats right...a tonsil stone. i have a hole in my tonsil where a white mass was sitting. very not comfortable. apparantly they're really common....so, maybe one day, you'll have one too!
for some reason, my webcam software has stopped working...all my IM programs stopped working too...except GAIM. For whatever reason, i can't get them to connect...i don't know if theres a bandwidth problem or what, but it dosn't work. any suggestions from anyone?
i started painting again...sorta...doing a little watercolor work...i'm happy with them.
sat out at the pool sunday with a weird book rich lent me. a couple hours later, i'm quite crispy and red. but defiantly by this weekend, i'll be a nice indian brown.
well, i'm about out of things to say...i'll be in lynchburg thursday night 6/28 through sunday 7/1...so there definatly needs to be some sort of party goin down. let me know if anyone wants any everclear!
