Greetings from another time zone!
hey out there in LJ land...those of you who still read this that is....
well, i'm here...made it safe and sound to my temporary home in Brentwood, TN...took over 6 hours from Blacksuburg, but wasn't a bad drive. It's pretty nice...the room is pretty big with practically a full kitchen, separate bath, and much larger bed than at school. All-in-all, i'm quite pleased with my living arrangements for the summer. and it's right accross from some kind of gym that i might check out later...
I ventured out today to get groceries and found a shopping center with the local Kroger, next to a liqueur store (which makes Va's liqueur stores pale in comparison to variety and prices), next to a bar, not far from a gym, near a guitar store, near a mexican resturant....i think i've found my new hang-out!
I ventured out later in the night becuase I'd finished putting things away and was bored, and got quite frustrated with the fact that i'm alone in this big place not knowing anything about it or anyone in it, and quickly became homesick for all things familiar and comforting. hopefully when i go out tomorrow during the day, things will be much easier to find and not as much like a hall-o-mirrors...and monday, once i start my job and meet the other interns, things will be much easier to handle than they are currently...
I miss you all and hope everyone has a great summer! I'll try to keep this updated pretty decently....i've also got a webcam now so i can keep up with my family and friends...so if you're in the mood, pop me a message via webcam and i might give you a virtual tour of the hotel if you ask nicely ;)
