more omgsewing moaning
SO really, the TL;DR is that while I'm sewing I hate it, but I really like having people go 'omg, that ______ rocks! Where did you get it?' and being able to go 'hah, I made it!' and feel good about it.
Less TL;DR: sewing leather without a walking foot sucks donkey balls. for serious. the foot gets stuck. then my needle comes unthreaded (technically, I believe the thread is breaking, but it continues to insert itself in holes so I don't notice until I stop with the needle up and go 'waaaaaaait....thread is not in hole.....') and then I cry and swear some because I sewed for 4" or something after this happened without noticing.
also, do not stab yourself in the nipple with pins. it is not pleasant. unless you go for that kind of thing, which personally.....not for me.
also? panniers with leather is an experience I will now never repeat.
