Ah yes. 2010 is finally upon us. At this time, I'd usually make some new year's resolutions, but honestly, am I gonna follow them through anyway? Well, doesn't hurt to make a list though, does it? Alright, here it goes.
2010 New Year's Resolutions (in which I'll try to achieve):
1. Graduate from university (Ok, NOT exactly a resolution, but I better pass all my courses to graduate this year.)
2. Be serious about finding a job that has to do with teaching (meaning send out loads of resumes and cover letters and shit)
3. Don't procrastinate and only start on my research papers 3 days prior to due dates (this had only happened this past term, which was already bad enough, and that probably would explain my marks).
4. Don't fall behind on my readings. (It usually doesn't happen, but who knows? It's my last term, and I'll go crazy regardless. Who knows what kind of weird shit I'll do?)
5. Pick up a new hobby that hopefully involves some kind of exercises. (I was thinking of capoeira - probably not gonna happen; but I'll be doing drawing/sketching lessons... maybe.)
Yeah.. I think that's enough resolutions for a year.
So last night, I was watching the countdown at New York City Time Square and in Hong Kong (damn the fireworks are SO pretty). Vancouver sucks for not having ANY sort of public celebrations. Anyway, I was roaming around TV channels at 1 in the morning, and I discovered this (albeit childishly/retardedly) funny show on YTV called
"That's so Weird!". And it's pretty damn weird, but I had some giggles over it. And then on MuchMusic, they were playing French music, for some reason, and there's this song by a pop-rock group,
Alfa Rococo, called
"Je Pense a Toi" that's quite catchy. So now I'm kinda addicted, even though my French is at grade 12 level (and it's deteriorating anyway cuz it has been 4 years).
