Sapporo 31/3 & 1/4 EPCOTIA con report
Pics are my own.
This report will be arranged by Set list, I will mention if the event happened in show 1 or show 3.
31 March 5pm - Show 1
1 April 5pm - Show 3
I have done a report (here in this link) and paired it with Papparazzi pics but it is F-locked >> add me if you want to read.
There are fans who arent in the best shape/health to travel and see NEWS.. so get off your high horse.
If you are nasty or easily triggered, please go away and don't even read this.
Also, pls don't ask me how to get tickets, there are plenty of guides which I have followed as well.
Be resourceful and use Google. The hardwork to find the answers made my adventure all the more worthwhile.
ok Sapporo EPCOTIA Concert below. Douzo..
For Show 1, the doors opened late.. at least 20mins.
We are issued our boarding passes! We were issued them at the EPCOTIA Boarding Gate, they had decorated /designed the entry ticket scanners to look like boarding gates!
The concert venue starts off the the lady voice that is in the -inter- tracks.
They use her voice to remind everybody not use their phones or electronic devices and be aware of your uchiwa blocking the people behind you. And that please enjoy your EPCOTIA Flight.
During the that period, they keep playing the EPCOTIA video found in the Album on repeat on the big screen...
This time the stage is round with 4 ends pointing out. and if you look up , the roof is decorated with planets of different sizes.

The crowd starts chanting NEWS NEWS NEWS NEWS
The lady's voice appears again -
Minna san thank you for taking this flight 009B, for your safety please listen to the following instructions.
This is your flight pilot COTIA TIPTREE, along with my NEWS flight crew Koyama Keiichiro, Kato Shigeaki, Masuda Takahisa and Tegoshi Yuya...
Please put your baggage in the overhead compartment and buckle up your seatbelt.
We will be ready to take off soon..
(I think thats what she said sorry I was too excited after that!)
They will play the EPCOTIA video another 2 times.. before............
Playing a video of the 4 guys doing the necessary flight checks for the EPCOTIA Space shuttle individually...
The crowd goes wild and kya at every member's video appearance.

=EPCOTIA shuttle blasts off !=
A blown up Shuttle appears on the stage...
Jrs split the shuttle into parts...
THE BOYS EMERGE!!!! FROM THE TOP FRAME OF THE STAGE!!!
SINGING EPCOTIA!!!!
They keep hanging and singing while in the air.. until the small EPCOTIA intermission in the song.
They come down and land..
After they sing EPCOTIA..the stage cover goes down.
They reimerge singing KINGDOM.
Next is TWINKLE STAR.. NEWS has this Twinkle star poses :D~ perfect time for camera close ups <3
The dance reminded me abit about T&T's Venus, put your hands together and twist your palms and turn your body to face left then right.
Everytime they sing "Twinkle Star", they will do this hand gesture.
Next is Akaku Moyuru Taiyou & there's a blast of fireworks..
They get off and start singing LIVE.
At the same time they get hooked up to bungee cords at 4 corners of the stage.. Massu is too heavy for the cords..
in Show 1, he managed to sing but in Show 3.. he was horizontal instead of vertical.. and he couldnt sing.. so he kept saying/laughing "fufufufu" for his parts..
the boys will bounce from each corner to the next and change the bungee cords...
TegoShige went in the direction on the pic below and KoyaMassu went the other way, changing the cords with each other.
In Show 3, KoyaShige had a moment while changing the bungee points..Koyama asked Shige.. daijyoubu? Shige replied Daijyoubu dayo~ hehe.. this was at the North Stage.
Tegoshi realised at some point that nobody was really bouncing and everybody had trouble with the bungee.. since he was so light.. he stopped bouncing just sat as if in a chair.. and started waving to the crowds in my area and gave his best sweet Tegoshi smile while his bungee was travelling to the next point....
after that.. they had an intermission where there are 3 Aliens which tell a story about traveling in space.. they will appear for each intermission . It is the periods of -INTER- in the album.. (sorry I hope you understand me ahahah)
NEWS reappears & sing LPS .
(I think at this point the boys board the trolleys that go around the venue because there isnt a dance to LPS right?)
while still on the trolleys.. the next song is NYARO. (does the Nyaro hand dance thingy NYAROOOOO XDDD)
halfway thru Nyaro they start getting down from the trolleys..
Then the next song is 恋する惑星 - Koi suru wakusei (my fav song.. they have a cute dance too!! it involves some butt swinging XDD)
Next is Ginza Rapsody
Koyama appears at the centre of the stage with some Jrs.
For this Solo, there will be a break in the song.... and the screens will show Koyama carassing a woman.. and very suggestively hinting having sex..
all the girls are going KYAHHHHHH.... it was hot but ... my reaction was NOOOOOOO .. T^T it was very un-Koyama just like he mentioned.. I can't remember when.
The screen cuts.. and Koyama appears, alone on stage.. half naked.. shirt fallen off his shoulders..
After his solo, other members appear and start singing Sweet Martini.
while the others are singing, the stage opens up abit, Koyama runs off into the gap...
when he reappears he has done his costume change, the Bar for Sweet Martini appears, with drinks for all 4 guys.
Whiskey glasses with Ice balls and some water for them.
(we kept guessing in show 1 if it was real water/drinks. By show 3, cameras were close enough to determine it was really ice water)
(very smart to get water in the middle of the concert XD)
next was madoromi
I can't remember anything from here.. other than Massu giving it his all during his part.. <3 <3 <3

NEWS reappeared facing each other with a camera pointing towards
They had a mounted selfie camera with a long selfie handle in the center of the stage and on the first day, they didnt really know what to do with it.. so they kept pushing it away after their parts..
The funny thing is that it probably wasn't practiced much that member turn order was abit off on Show 1.
For Show 1 : The camera landed on Shige at one point but it was Tegoshi's turn to sing so Shige pushed the selfie handle really hard so it could reach Tegoshi's face really fast XDD.
Shige had a face that was almost like.. shit its not my turn to sing why is the camera facing me?!
For Show 1, Tegoshi end up hogging the camera and singing to it and the rest of the members appeared nearer to the end of the song.
For Show 3,
Massu starts first, and leans in to kiss the camera <3 Koyama does the same I think.. XDD
Tegoshi started walking >>>> right and "collected" Massu, Shige and Koyama >> NEWS sing in 1 camera view. (not sure about the pic but I remember Koyama appearing last)
They were really having fun with this live cam on stage <3, you could hear Koyama constantly laughing <3
JUMP AROUND
Massu the rapper appears with sunglasses <3
the boys were jumping around stage at the various 4 sub-stages.
Jrs all join them on stage and everyone stretched out from North to South Stages.
They spread out each NEWS member with about 3-4 Jrs in between, Tego and Shige was nearer the center of stage.
For Show 3 : Massu was located at the end of South stage, some parts he rested when the spotlight wasn't on him and did not dance, just did the important end of step poses before continuing.
BLACKHOLE
NEWS regrouped in the centre stage first to sing the opening.
This was the hardest dance I have ever seen NEWS dance!
This was a big dance with all the Jrs, They form a circle at the edge of the stage, and the dance was .. walk walk squat squat walk walk squat squat SING...repeat
When BLACKHOLE chorus is sung, flames will come out of the corners of the stage.. super WOW
For Show 1: Koyama couldn't keep up with the dance, he paused in between as well.
For Show 3 : Massu rested in some parts of the dance when the spotlight wasnt on him.
THUNDER
Lighting was dimmed and changed to black-ish.. thunder and pouring rain sounds started..
The spotlight brightens, Massu appears alone to sing THUNDER.
Hyuon
Stages North and South become elevated.
Now they look like spaceship wings.
Shige sits on the North Stage while the Jrs come out in the centre stage with sticks and bulbs on top.
Another Jr is covered and unknown but does all the dances.
Shige walks over at some point and dances along with the Jrs and ends up with him wearing the red heels.
AVALON
I dont remember where NEWS was for this song but I had to rely mostly on the screen to see them.
I think they where in the centre of the stage and it had been lifted off the ground.
And I could only remember staring at Shige coz I decided I'm just gonna stare at Shige by default I can't figure out who to look at.
I liked this dance XD it had a few simple parts and after watching it once, as a fan, you can dance to it easily :)
Brightest
For Show 1, Tegoshi was on my side.. and I can remember him singing so sweetly, You are my brightest at the direction of our stands..
This song was taken out of Show 2 & 3. Later con reports, sometimes they would still sing it.. not sure if there is a pattern.
IT’S YOU
I don't recall this as well, NEWS was probably running around the 4 sub-stages and I remember Massu giving his 100% again..
星に願いを
NEWS sits down to sing this and Sakura petal confetti rains down.
For Show 1 : Shige sat down last, so he wriggles and squeezes Koyama.
Tegoshi gives added squishing.. Koyama super sandwich XD
After that, they played with the petals on the floor.
For Show 3: Shige lies on Koyama causing everybody to KYAAAA
coz of that, Koyama lies on Tego and Tego lies on Massu.
A lot of member love <3

The EPCOTIA shuttle has successfully docked!

Show 1 : MC Koyama mentioned that his mom couldnt pronounce EPCOTIA.. she called it ECOTOPIA
Shige said how can she not know how to pronounce something her son put so much hardwork into?
I think some of the audience were laughing.. I thought to myself.. waa Shige.. you be careful... later Koyamama doesnt let you into the house!
for the 1st and 3rd shows.. they still have issues with the MC camera angles which made it so fun! Fans were helping the boys with the camera angles..
Show 3 : Koyama congratulated Massu on becoming a PON! Monday regular!
Massu did his first PON! hand sign and Koyama said.. only for you today!! Massu's first PON!
XDD super lucky to see Massu's first PON <3, Money cannot buy that XDD
We bullied Shige in Show 3 by not answering him if we loved him XDD like in NEVERLAND DVD.
Platonic
Tegoshi chooses his place to sing his solo.
These the locations.
Show 3 : Tegoshi walks from the first exit of the North seats to the last exit of the North seats

Show 3: Massu had camera problems for EMMA..
I think the sakura petals landed on the individual cameras facing Massu.. so the camera team tried to change angle, change camera..
but in the end they had to send up a camera guy.. but by that time.. EMMA song ended.. I pity the camera guy coz he had to back off the stage.
Sometimes they would get a good angle for Massu and we'd enjoy it awhile before they tried to change again.
You could hear the fans go.. ahhhhh.. go back.... regardless if they were Massu fans or not.. end of the day.. we are all NEWS fans <3
EROTICA
the boys ran around the 4 sub-stage areas again
I remember watching Shige again <3
It was a spanish looking dance.. we just have to wait for them to perform again on TV/DVD.
Megalomania
NEWS starts getting into the trolleys again and starts travelling around the arena till U R not alone.

Show 3, Tegoshi was throwing the balls to the 3rd south floor before. First time he missed the ball fell to 2nd floor but he didn’t want to disappoint the 3rd floor audience so he threw a second ball at the same person/area.

The boys stop at the corners of the arena.
Shige's area was the corner of South and West seats.. The trolley was elevated to middle of the 2nd floor
Show 3: In the west 2nd floor seats, a fan fainted.. Shige only noticed it at the end but he had to continue singing.

NEWS made their way back to the centre stage, Shige saw my Singapore uchiwa and nodded <3 I died
I remember in Show 1 : Shige was standing.. Koyama was next to him but like Shige wanted to sit and there wasn't space so he stood all the way.. but it was more of a positioning error than Koyama not letting him sit..
Show 3: Shige had sat down.
HAPPY ENDING
After they sang, they did an introduction to the Jrs. and the Aliens
and...
One of the aliens knocked over the E in EPCOTIA and Shige pretended to put it back sloppily.
now it reads WPCOTIA
Show 1 : Shige put back the E akwardly so all the fans were wondering if it was really an accident <3
but when the words started spinning around, we realised it was some hint for the next album name.
Because the next album has to start with a W.
A Russian fangirl said that it meant or can be read in Russian.
Show 3 : Shige had to put it the E again but this time everybody knew it is staged so.. he patted the E instead like.. mm good job.
After that the boys ended the concert and disappeared underneath the stage.

At this point i would like to relive both concerts again.. please I want a time machine !!
I can't recall everything and I cannot recall where the other -INTER-s happened.
At one point of Show 1.. i think Tegoshi was trying to figure out what my Singapore uchiwa was about.. my impression was he tried to figure it out twice.. but was unsuccessful.
I had used the wrong materials so it was hard to see when the concert lights are dimmed :(
I'll make better ones next time.

To those who weren't able to attend and those reading.
I hope I was able to bring you on this wonderful Space Travel Adventure with NEWS.
Hopefully one day you will be able to attend a NEWS concert :)
For me, it has been at least 10 years in the making, so don't think it is impossible ne~~!!
