Okay. Dream:
It was Tony, Devin and me visiting some kind of school. A university, I guess. I have no idea what we were doing there. After listening to a lecture we told the professor that we were planning to enroll, but that was a lie. (by the way, this professor was an old skinny Indian man - east Indian, not the American kind - and his whole class was sitting on the floor in an open space, not even a class room)
Then there were these students who I was befriending. I think two, one kinda stocky guy who didn't draw attention to himself, and one skinny pale goth boy. There was some talking and doing of stuff, but I don't remember it. Turned out skinny goth boy had AIDS, though, and I'd guessed it by his behavior before he said anything. There was more talking and angsting and randomness.
And then a dragon was there (in human form) saying that he'd put goth boy into suspended animation to keep him alive because he'd be needed for saving the world later.
This was a blue dragon from World of Warcraft. Sort of... I want to say it wasn't Malygos, but he was a big famous boss-type dragon who would normally have been killing us all, except he'd decided that whatever crisis threatened the world was more important.
Really he felt more like Neltharion (AKA Deathwing) if Neltharion were a blue instead of a black. In fact I'm pretty sure that's exactly who he was.
And for some odd reason I was completely infatuated with this dragon (oh wait, that's not odd at all).
So then we were at the war camp of sorts... it was a lot of people sitting around on picnic blankets and lawn chairs waiting for something to happen. Also it was at the Duck Pond. Then Malygos-Neltharion comes flying over all dramatic and lands, and there are a few ridiculously heroic-looking knights in shining armor (very out of place amongst the casually dressed observers) who go up to talk to the dragon. I feel kind of jealous because they seem all full of themselves, like only they have the right to interact with this marvelous entity (who by all rights should be setting us all on fire by now), so I start heading over to have my own words with the dragon. After all, he did talk to me when he was saving my friend. It was rather embarrassing, really, because I was being all self-important. Everyone else wanted to be close to the dragon too, and I was being hypocritical. And I knew it.
I reach up to touch his neck, but he shied away rather sharply and wouldn't talk to me. (he was a bit smaller than in WoW, and by a bit I mean I came up almost the length of his foreleg rather than being small enough to curl up inside his eyeball...) Then he disappeared and I felt all disappointed and shunned and tried to find him. Mirages of him kept appearing in the park amongst the crowd, and everyone else was seeing them too, but the actual dragon was gone, it seemed.
Then I started to wake up and Malygos-Neltharion became Orpheus-Ryuu and yeaaahh.....
For reference, this is
Malygos and here's a screenshot I snapped of
Deathwing.
Only the blue and black dragon flights are generally unfriendly, and that's really just because of their leadership and the various corrupting forces you'd expect in a fantasy. Most WoW dragons make pretty awesome allies. Their complex hierarchy is one of the things that attracts me to WoW... and I totally have a girl-crush on the red queen, Alexstrasza (Oh, Alex~)
Don't even get me started on Chromie the time-traveling bronze or the green Ysera, guardian of the dream world...
