Christmas Shopping
Doing it online is much easier than doing it in person, but there are still times when you want to hold the item in your hands, flip through the book, check the way the clothing might hang/stretch/feel, check the real color, etc.
Amazon's look inside the book is a nice feature, but it feels too limited too often. It is hard to judge certain types of books without more pages, the pages that are selected feel arbitrary rather than selected in order to help sell the book.
