FIC: Safe (Dead Like Me) Daisy/George

Jun 01, 2006 01:29

So, geonncannon wrote 31 stories for the Merry Month of Masturbation, including stories for The Facts of Life, Stargate OT3 and OT4, House, The X-Files, and even Dead Like Me. ;) This was a ficathon I considered and quickly dismissed. I am not that awesome ( Read more... )

Oh, so so so worth it.

*pants*

Greta Garbo cornering her in the bathroom, fantasizing about Joan Crawford...

I love the feel of this. You've got it so perfectly... in both worlds. It feels nostalgic and modern at the same time. And your journal helps: the crimson borders around the white background for the story feels like open curtains around a stage. Or maybe that's just me. ;-D I love the "reaper orgasm" being so unfulfilling! And masturbating in George's bed? WITH HER IN IT? So, so kinky and good.

"The youth of today had no class." *snickers*

I am not that awesome.

Your honor, I present People's Exhibit A. *gestures at this story*

If I'd known I had this waiting on June 1, I would've finish all 31 stories in the first week and started poking you. *g* Thank you for staying up late and doing this for me!! *hugs you* I get a story, PLUS you emailed me while writing it. Double present!! :D

Ee! I'm so glad you liked it. And the Greta Garbo bit was my favorite part. I did research on the gay stars of the 30s.

I'm not sure why Daisy and George don't spend all their time staring and marveling at each other's existence. That's what I do! ::grins::

::blush:: I only got the idea when I finished the series over the weekend. The timing was fortiutious. But staying up to talk to you was the best part! I wanted to be here for the unraveling.

Bless training sessions at work. ;)

*laughs* That's what Season 3 would have been! I know it! ;-D

Wheeee! :D I'm glad you were here, too! It's like the pretty wrapping on the present! ;-D

Bless training sessions at work. ;)

*laughs* Oh, indeeeeeed. I suppose. Although they're very, very crappy while in session. At least from my end. ;-D

Thank you again!!

That's what they were foreshadowing. :) And Roxy was getting more and more awesome. And Tiffany! Show of insteresting women! No wonder it was canned.

Oh yeah. It was miserable. But it's over, so I get to pick out the good parts. ;)

I'm another fan of the Garbo/Crawford lines.

There's a lovely feel to this story - complex

Thank you. I liked getting inside Daisy's head. Or rather, she got in, and stayed until I wrote her out into the story.

George stirred. Daisy withdrew her lips.

"Daisy," George mumbled, her voice thick with sleep. "Fucking go to sleep."

"All right, George," Daisy said.

...and George growling is way sexy.

"Daisy," George said. Her eyes were closed.

"What?"

"Go to sleep."

Daisy sighed, and said, "I will."

"It's okay."

Daisy shifted onto her back. George's head settled onto her shoulder. "Want me to sing you a lullaby?" George asked.

"Go to sleep, George."

George snorted.

Haha! Aw. George is so snuggly. And yet... not.

You know, I think this is the first Dead Like Me fic I've read. Possibly.

Heehee. I'm so glad you got George! I so wanted that to work, and I wanted to put up a sound file, and be like, "She's really like that. Really."

Growly and not!snuggly. And yet, so perfect next to Daisy. Ah. :)

Thank you! I love your icon! Is there more George/Daisy out there? I admit, I haven't looked yet.

I'm so glad you want to squeeze and pet my story. For being in-character! I'm honored by the compliment. George deserves to be done justice.
