I have the greatest friends in the world. I can make such a claim, because it is true. You may THINK you have the greatest friends, but they are nothing compared to mine. :) Okay, maybe that's just my opinion, but it's truly how I feel.
Last night, a bunch of us went down to Victoria to finally celebrate my birthday. For those that read this and weren't there, you were not invited because we went to a couple of pubs, and, unfortunately, you have to be of age. I am sorry =/
On to the fun!
So I headed to Nicole's around 5ish and had dinner with her, her boyfriend, and her mother. It was very good. About an hour later, we head to meet up with Anna, who was going to follow us. Well, she wanted some company on the way down, so I ended up driving with her. It was a really fun ride, and we did some great talking.
There was one point, during the drive, that we ended up behind Nicole and Micahel at an intersection. They decided to give us a smootching show. It was pretty funny, actually. :P
At any rate, we arrived at Wes' a little after 7. Ricki was all ready there, so after saying hello, dropping some stuff off, watched the end of a UFC match, we all piled into Nicole's van, which Michael graciously offered to DD for us. Stopped by the liquor store, picked up some beer, and proceeded to head down to the Monkey Tree Pub, by UVic. The reason for this was because we were going to play Music Bingo. Unfortunately, the place was packed, and we couldn't get a seat anywhere. So, we opted to try the kareoke thing at another place. Wes' comment ended up being true "We'll have a drink or two, no one will have the balls to do it, and we'll end up going back to my place." :P
So we watched the rest of the hockey game that they were showing, Wes and I had a pinte, then we headed to the grocery store to pick up stuff for nacho's and breakfast the next morning. (We were all crashing over at Wes' place.)
Back at Wes' we made Nacho's and watched American Pie: Band Camp (Which sucked horribly), Wes, Ricki and I had some drinks, Brendan and Steph, who could not attend the earlier festitives, showed up a little later on. No one got wasted, and actually more than half didn't drink at all, but I was a bit tipsy. ^_^
Wes then decided to show us some UFC-esque moves that he had learned. (It's all on video somewhere as well...haha) and then we watched some George Carlin stand-up thing that Wes' roomate had on his computer. It was freakin' hilarious.
Before we knew it, it was 3am, and people we ready for bed. I took a short couch, so I didn't get the greatest sleep. I was also pretty awake, and decide to keep Nicole and Michael awake, by talking to them for a little while. XD At any rate, around 6:30am Anna and I woke up and chatted for a little bit until others began to rise. I made breakfast for everyone, (Waffles and a toaster! Such hard work) but when it came to my turn for breakfast all the stuff we had for the waffles was gone. :( Ah well, it was really fun anyway, and it felt good to be able to give something back to the people that had done so much for me the night before.
I don't know why, but waking up in an apartment full of people that I have been so close with, and not-so close with these last couple of years because of real-life taking us in different places, really made me unequvically happy.
I love you guys, and you have no idea what sort of impact you have made on my life since you've come into it. :) And if I don't say it enough, I really appreciate everything that you've done for me. I just hope that I have been able to return the favour in even the slightest amount. :)
