Lots of Stuff

Last night was pretty fun. Wednesday was my brother's birthday, he turned 25, but because he had to work we decided to celebrate on a night he was off (last night). Did some mild drinking, went out for dinner, etc. Nothing huge, but it was still pretty fun.

Wes also came up yesterday for a bit. I took him out for lunch, and we went and visited his friend Zach who owns a recording studio. We saw the new renovations that were done, talked about the various projects we've all been working on, well mostly Zach's, and then I came back here. It was a fun day, and really good to see him.

At Tim Horton's, where we went for lunch, we bumped into another old friend of ours that we hadn't seen in years, who told me that another friend (Phil's) Mom was going into surgery because of a tumor in her brain. I grew up with Phil, and she was like a 2nd Mom to me, so I was very concerned. Phil and I have lost contact with each other over the last year or so and the number I had was out of date. Luckily his e-mail address wasn't, and I heard back from him tonight. Turns out, his Mom actually had Ovarian cancer. *Had*, thank god, is the key word. They discovered it early, and they were able to irradicate it. Unfortunately, one of the side affects from her treatment caused a tumor the size of a golf-ball to grow in her brain. It's not growing anymore, and she all ready went in for surgery so they could shink it. The doctors say she'll make a full recovery, though the tumor will take a very long time to completely disappear. Other than some minor headaches she is in good health, great spirits and doing very well. Which came as a huge relief to me, and her family I'm sure. Phil and I are gonna get together and jam soon, and I'm very much looking forward to that. Appearntly two people from his last band just moved to Australia and he's looking to start up another. I may take him up on his offer.

On a much lighter note, I had the coolest dream ever last night. I didn't fall asleep to anything, or didn't watch anything before I went to bed, but the dream I had was like watching a full Sci-fi movie o_O It was so vivid, that when I woke up I began writing down everything that I could remember, from characters, to names, to settings and plotlines. I dunno if I'll ever get around to doing anything with it, but it was still pretty neat.

Anywho, that's about it I suppose. Time for work...or Amethyst. I haven't figured out what yet.
