So how I spent my birthday...
So in my infinite wisdom, i thought it would be a good idea to schedule a dentist appt on my birthday today. About the last day of our disney trip, the right side of my mouth started to hurt and my ear would shut up. I chalked it up to the cold I got when I was there, so I didnt think anything of it.
Flash forward a few days, and my jaw still hurts. I decided to go to a new dentist as the last one I went to had a terrible bedside manner. So i fill out all the paperwork, and get into the chair. Come to find out, yes my lower right wisdom tooth is partially impacted and is pushing forward against the tooth next to it. (ouch!)
As I'm talking to the technician about it, she says "Well we can go ahead and take it out now!"
I'm thinking oh, sure, maybe a hour, some painkillers, I can make my 2:00pm conference call (the appt was at 11)..... Oh silly pup :P
It takes:
Though smtpboy was very sweet, he went out to Wegman's and got stuff to make The Lady's Chicken Noodle Soup. What little of the broth I had, was very yummy. I look forward to being able to actually eat it Saturday :) We also vegged on the couch tonight and forced him to watch Holiday Inn, which he had never seen before either.
So now comes the fun part... try and sleep tonight.

- 2 topical lidocaine swabs to numb the surface
- 15 different needle sticks of anesthesia to "mostly" numb that side of my jaw
- 3 different people to finally extract the tooth
- 8 stitches to sew it up after extraction
- 2 wetnaps to wipe away the "carnage" post extraction.
