I never have a good title for this thing
So im sitting at work and watching the clock slowly tick by. Its 4:12 and I get off at 4:30, pretty excited about that. But dont worry kids I have to be at my other job at 5:30. Ill be done with work for the day at 8 then me and Rodney are going to wal mart. Im excited about that for some reason,dont know why but I just am:) The weekend was a good one, sort of low key. Friday night me and Colleen went out to celebrate. She got a second interview with the boy scouts and I got a call friday morning saying that my book got published!! Its just a short childrens book, but none the less now I can say im a published author !! There is only one book published now and they are ordering about 50 more. Its for a non profit organization , so no I wont be making money off of it unless they decide to sell it to preschools. But they want to have a big event where they like present the book to the community or wahtever and the sponsors who gave money to the book come and the illustratior comes and then they want me there to sign the book! Crazy! so that all called for some definate celebrations. We did a pretty good job at hitting almost all the bars in downtown bloomington and then we went to a friends apartment after the bars closed. We arrived home safely around 4ish. fun times!
Saturday I wrote my paper and then went to the chiefs game with my boss and other coworker for my boss's birthday. I relaly like the people i work with so it was fun! I really dont like baseball, but the fireworks were neat and there was a fun camera that pointed to people and caught them kissing. That was pretty fun too. Sunday me and Kate got dragged into going to dinner with my mom, her friend and her friends two sons from england. They were quit cute i must say and their accents were adorable. me and Kate got free cocktails out of the event and all and all it was a good time. Im super excited also because Kate and Bob are going to come down next week and watch me coach one of my games!!!
I headed back to bloomington sunday night and stopped by Rodneys on the way back. He really is somehting and the more time i spend with him, the more I enjoy his company. He just makes me laugh and we never run out of things to talk about. Then he was very sweet and insisted on following me back to my apartment and helping me unload my groceries adn put them away. He didnt want me doing all that alone at night, such a gentleman. Ok enough about that-im off to close the office get some dinner then coach 17 4 year olds.I hope it rains!!!
