Please ignore this XD; I just have too many theories about PH and I keep losing the files on the comp, so scribbling a few here for myself. Walk on byyyy~ XD
Why did you click? D8
I'm not saying I believe all of these things; they could all turn out to be 100% wrong, but there are a few I think could be true XDD They're also pretty old so think I need to reread and rewrite XD (In truth, I hope very few are right. I like not knowing what's happening :D Especially the Oz one's; that boy is set up for the mental institution without even MORE crap to put on his plate D8)
(Also, I've no clue about what's being said in the newest chappy, but suddenly a lot of my weird ideas don't look so impossible)
Just throwing a few down and leaving out all the detail; will add more later.
General
Time
Time in the Abyss is warped, making it so that Oz and Kevin/Break, after they escaped, ended up in time-frames long after their correct periods. However, it appears that while Kevin was with the Will of Abyss, the Tragedy of Sabrie took place (This could completely remove any involvement from the Will of Abyss in the Tragedy). Because of this time paradox (Kevin existed at least 50 years after the Tragedy), I think it's possible for people to travel backwards in time, as well as forwards, through the Abyss.
Souls
Souls do exist in the world of Pandora Hearts; Glen is described as having an 'undead soul', and Jack's body was destroyed while his soul fragments continued to exist. All Soul fragments appear to be connected in some way, as Jack, though he hasn't appeared often, always seems aware of current events etc. (e.g. The one in Sabrie knew of Oz... though I have other theories around that, which I'll leave well enough alone for now~)
Vessels
Vessels, or 'hosts', also exist in Pandora Hearts; Gil's was to become a host for Glen's soul (by interrupting the ceremony, Glen's soul had to wait another 100 years for a body), while Oz acts as a vessel for Jack. It also seems that Echo and Zwei/Noise may be two souls in the same body, but the exact nature of Zwei/Echo's existance is unclear.
THEORIES
Oz
- Is a vessel, as in a container, possibly without a soul (At least originally - Linked to Zai theories). He may not be human.
- Chaper 2: Zwei says Oz's blood is different from other humans.
- His relationship with Alice is a 'special case'/different from other contractors.
- He houses Jack's soul, but also B-Rabbit. He is absorbing B-Rabbit's powers (He 'has the right to', according to Jack). This could be because he in an 'empty' vessel capable absorbing all around him (to try and become whole?) .
- The day Oz was born and taken away, I think that Zai may have done something to him to make him a vessel for Jack Vassalius' soul, replaecd his own son with the vessal (no idea why), or he was testing to see if Oz was some sort of vessel to begin with (I have this idea of Oz being some sort of Child of misfortune, maybe he even had red eyes but that was hidden, but there is no proof for that, it's just an idea XD). This could possibly explain why his father always refers to him as a 'thing' rather than a person. It also explains why he thinks Oz should have never been born, as he exists only to be thrown into the Abyss, used as a vessel or weapon for Jack, or be destroyed and risk exposing the world to the warping power of the Abyss. This may also have been why Glen refered to him as 'An existance that doesn't have a place to belong... A tragic life that shouldn't have been born'.
- Is from 100 years ago/Was involved with the Tragedy/Was there (When Alice and Gil get dragged into their own memories in Sabrie, Oz sees the Tragedy. These could be Jack's memories, or his own)- He may have been Alice's killer (Past Alice says 'Oz' and it appears to be her death scene)
- He could be the original B-Rabbit, the one that gave B-Rabbit such a notorious name (Alice claims not to remember the accusations made about B-Rabbit)
Chapter 2: The Baskerville's claim B-Rabbit was 'getting in their way again' when Alice appeared at the Ceremony, suggesting it was at the Tragedy or at least it existed 100 years ago.
Chapter ? (At Sabrie): Glen knows who Oz is; if he is a Soul Fragment, he may have learned this over time, but this seems doubtful as Glen appears to have died, thus leaving behind no soul fragments (Excluding the Humpty Dumpty Chains, if they count). This would suggest he was an illusion/memory, meaning he was not interacting with Oz at that present time, supporting the idea that Oz was in Sabrie around the time of the Tragedy.
Chapter 59: Alice from the past says his name and looks like she's crying (One of the flashback panels). He then remembers her dead body.- Oz is becoming B-Rabbit (Old theory from over a year and a half ago, pretty much confirmed) (Mochizuki's B Rabbit Oz sketches pretty much confirm it too, IMO XD). Also, Oz stated back in the school arch that hurting others is 'too heavy' for him to deal with, yet he's quite comfortably taking up his scythe and attacking people now. This shows his personality is being changed/twisted by B-Rabbit's power. (Alice also appears more violent when using B Rabbit's powers)
- If Oz kills someone, he will be pushed over the edge. Maybe that will be what turns him into B-Rabbit? (Hence why Jack and Alice are trying to stop him. Linked to Alice theories)
Alice
- Her current state of existance may have been planned or even agreed to by Alice herself. This may have something to do with Oz being B-Rabbit (Above)
Chapter 45: She says Oz killing Marie would have been 'pointless', or maybe she meant 'it would all be pointless' like she said in Chapter 57. Both times she was confused or didn't understand why she thought that or why she was so upset, but it could be a repressed memory. Maybe she and Jack are trying to prevent what happened in the past by stopping Oz in the future. If Oz fully became B-Rabbit, then everything they had done would have been for nothing. It would have been 'pointless'.
Was murdered by either Glen, Vincent, Gilbert, Jack or, if the above theory is true, it could have been Oz.- Maybe the first memory, that of Alice swearing she'd never forgive him (Oz) could be based on the fact Oz or Jack killed her (Not sure about this one, as that memory still confuses me).
Glen
- Intended to die so that he would be reborn in 100 years (maybe his reborn body would be stronger than the ones he stole?).
RANDOM
- Gil is a Baskerville - He's survived a lot of attacks that he probably shouldn't have (namely getting cut open with a sword) and he's never actually had direct contact with B-Rabbit, which we know can harm the Baskervilles. Crazy theory but it's sticking to me~ XDD
- Zai was involved in his wife's murder, and it is liked to the fact Oz was going to be tossed in Abyss (keep him alone and secluded, like not sending him to school or letting him leave the mansion etc.)
- Gilbert appeared outside the Vessalius gate, not in the gardens, and whoever found him (possibly Zai or Duke Nightray) knew who he was from the start. If the two were in contact don't you think one of them would have noticed Gil and Vince were related? I think they intentionally held off until after Oz went to Abyss so that the ritual could be fulfilled, which also means...
- I think the only reason Oz had Gil was so they had someone to control for the ceremony. In reality, Gil should have probably been fired for standing up to Zai like that, but they kept him, because then needed the blood 'from a dear friends blade' for the ritual. This is assuming that spell was accurate, of course. It could have been nonsense XDD
Ok this is messy and not entirely accurate with my thoughts; I'll add the rest later XD
