Because Plato and the ole' Socrates just pwned my ass. Plus Otakon/AX?
So I'm taking a philosophy class right? Right.
The class is huge, let me tell ya. So big in fact, that on the first day folks were sitting on the floor all around the room because there were no more seats. Needless to say, when the professor got to passing around the course schedule, there simply wasn't enough. Unfortunately I didn't get one, which was kinda lame considering I actually signed up for the damn course.
I digress.
So, she tells us that for our first assignment to make sure and do the Plato/Socrates readings. OK. No big deal, the book is 154 pages long. Do that by Wednesday? Yeah, possible. So I get to reading.
It's fairly gripping and interesting stuff. Never taken a philosophy course before, so it's cool to formally learn about this shit. Socrates was one helluva talker though. I can see why so many people were so quickly persuaded by his words.
Just got an email a few minutes ago stating that we had to read the Meno portion of Five dialogues.
I read all five of the dialogues.
DERP DERP DERP.
Least I'm ahead of the class for the next few weeks. >.> WOOPSIES. SOCRATES AND PLATO, YOU PALS JUST HAD ME FOOLED.
In other news, I got new glasses over break. I'll take a picture if anyone actually wants to see. =0
Finally, I gotta question for you few con going folks out there. Really it's just an excuse for me to see people I really want to see (among other activities Cough), but I can only really afford to attend one. Anime Expo or Otakon folks. Which one will you guys most likely attend, and if you're going, could you leave room for me in your room? =0
There's a few people off the top of my head who I'm thinking of, and really, they're all the reason I need to make these trips. =p
ANYWAY.
Time to go read about Ocean Geology. And maybe do some math. Oh god help me.
