first week back for fall '06

Classes started on Wednesday, but before classes even started I had to be at school to show the fishes what ASME is about. Monday, I talked with the faculty advisor and we agreed that ASME would only continue for this school year if there are enough officers to make the RSO requirements. I hope some people come forward. I really want ASME to do something for the students this year other than make promises and no follow through. I really want that to change.
Besides all my concerns with ASME, I had to get ready for classes.

The first day and the first class I have the faculty advisor for ASME. I just want him not to hate me like the former chair of ASME- he probably will not. (I know Megan is going to come back and comment about that). Thermo II, the second time seems like things are going to make more sense- they already do and we are just in the review. Thermo II, workaholic professor 1- he proves this by giving us much work to do and even offering a recitation- out of his own time! This just proves that he wants us to learn, and work problems.

The second work alcoholic professor, I have for two classes senior design I and mech. vibrations. These classes will offer more work; I wonder where I'll have to live? Mech. vibrations sounds like a fun subject, something right up my alley. I just don't want to do poorly this semester.

The next day brought the man-devil for heat transfer. He always seems nice at the start, but as you go along it just gets worse. I have an idea maybe I should see him during office hours? Maybe. And the last class is FEA with siginh- the goofy man that spent the first day of class talking about how the class will change for later students and how it has effected our current class.

I have no doubt that by the end of this semester I will have no problems with design projects or even with getting homework done.

This will be another exciting semester to see what happens.
