You can't hide your tears in rain
Chapter 1
Ryan walked from one side to the other in the small stretch in between the two tour busses. It was raining hard and he was already drenched to the bones, but he didn't care. He didn't notice anything at all. His converse shoes stepped once more right into a puddle what caused another outburst of rage in him. "FUCK!" he said as he kicked one of the tires.
If fucking Bam hadn't persuaded him to go on this goddamn tour together with HIM and Negative, maybe everything would have ended differently... He didn't even like this pussy-shit he called music! But of course Bam had persuaded him and of course he just had said yes. He'd thought it would be fun. He really liked the guys of HIM, even if he wasn't into their music. And who said he had to hang out with the guys from Negative, he didn’t even know them. And it really had been fun up to now. Until he had received a phone call from his girlfriend. Or better yet: His ex-girlfriend.
Earlier that day:
Ryan was standing there with Bam backstage watching HIM rehearse for their show later that night. As HIM was about to go into their next song Ryan felt his phone vibrate. “Yo Bam I’ll be right back. I got a phone call.” Dunn told him as he walked to the back door.
“Hello baby, how are you?”
“Ryan we need to talk that’s why I called.”
“Um…ok so what’s up?”
“Look Ryan I think it’s best if we go are separate ways.”
“What the fuck are you talking about go separate ways?”
"I'm so sorry Ryan...But you were never here! You were always hanging out with your dumbass friends! And I never know if you'd come home that night or what you were doing! And I know there were always girls with you! So I met someone else"
After Ryan heard the he hung up the phone and slid down the wall he was leaning on down to the floor.
Present Day:
As if that was an excuse for what she'd done to him. Fucking bitch. He should never have trusted her. And now he was fucked up and couldn't even talk to someone. The guys of the bands were gone partying with the crew and Bam was hanging out with Ville. He wished he could talk to Bam as a friend, but when Bam was with Ville, he was very different. He couldn't stay with those two. When they were together, he always felt like the third wheel because they were totally on the same level. They laughed about things he didn't find funny and talked about things he didn't understand. And to feel surplus now was the last thing he needed.
Tears started to roll down his cheeks.
“Great. Now I’m crying because of this slut. I don’t even know why she thought I was fuckin heating on her. My life has gone to hell in a matter of days.” Ryan said out loud.
"You'll get ill."
A frightened Ryan and turned around. He hadn't noticed the singer of Negative standing there in the door in one of the busses. “Shit what was his name again? Oh yeah, right it’s Jonne.” He thought.
Ryan wanted to wipe his tears away, but then he let it be. He didn't care if this gay guy saw his tears... The rain would hide it anyway.
"How long are you standing there??” Jonne smiled.
"Long enough to know that you’re going to get sick if you don’t come inside.” Jonne told him as he started to walk away from where they were standing but noticed Ryan hadn’t moved. “Come on now, I'm serious."
Ryan hadn't noticed he was shaking from the rain and knew that Jonne was right.
"Take a seat; I'll get you a blanket." Jonne pointed to a comfortable looking couch. Ryan sat down. Now that his anger had faded away, he was just feeling so empty and so tired. He didn't care about anything at all.
Jonne came back with two blankets. He gave one to Ryan, kept the other one for himself and sat down next to him. "Want a mint bonbon?” Jonne asked smiling. This was the first time Ryan was really looking at Jonne. He had always tried to avoid him before because of his prejudice. Jonne had wrapped a thick scarf around his throat and his blond hair was held back by a bunch of hair clips. It was obvious that he was struggling with a cold. He really looked like a girl...I wonder why he wasn't partying with the other guys.
Ryan shook his head. "No...Thanks." Jonne shrugged his shoulders. "I think they're tasty. Larry bought them for me. Whatever, I was about to make a cup of tea when I saw you out there. Why were you walking back and forth in the rain like a weirdo?"
Ryan stared at the wall and tried not to look into Jonne's face. "That's none business of yours. Or am I mistaken?" Ryan said. "No, you're not. You know, I was just wondering...You looked like you needed some help. I'm sorry if I was wrong." Jonne stood up looking for his tea.
Ryan couldn't take it anymore. Suddenly his tears started to fall again and he couldn't help sobbing. Jonne was surprised, but he immediately turned around and went back to Ryan. He sat down, pulled a tissue out of his pocket and gave it to him. "Thank..y..you.." Ryan was completely crying now. "You're welcome", Jonne whispered. "What happened to you? ...I mean you don't have to tell me, but...” Ryan sighed. "This bitch cheated on me! I never thought she'd do somethin' like this...We were together for two fuckin' two years!! And if it was just this! Now she tells me this shit on the phone!!" Ryan covered his face with his hands. "Maybe I'm a douche bag, but I don't deserve somethin' like this!"
Jonne pulled him into his arms. "I know exactly how you feel. But it's not your fault. I know it hurts, but you'll learn from that. She isn't worth to suffer that much." He pulled another tissue out and wiped the tears away from Ryan's eyes. Ryan nodded. "I wish you're right..." Jonne smiled. "You'll be fine, believe me. I know what I'm talking about." Ryan smiled back. He had kind of a bad conscience because he had thought so many mean things about Jonne and now he was so gently with him.
Ryan laughed bitterly. " This is the first time we talk to each other since Bam introduced us...And now I'm crying in your arms like a pussy." Jonne laughed. "Now that's fine, I always like pussies in my arms.” he smirked. Ryan had to laugh out loud. He was so glad Jonne had taken him in. Maybe Negative wasn't that bad.
