CanCam 2020.08 / Weekly TV Guide 07.03.2020 Translation ~ Kyomoto Taiga
TAIGA-KUN'S SKETCHBOOK
After handing the sketchbook for about 2 weeks... we got 8 drawings that correspond to the topics! Peek through the mind of the illustrator Kyomoto-san!
Q. If you were to be born again, what animal do you want to be?
A. Cat
Even now I'm being told that I go with my own pace so I want to spend my time freely even if I were to be born again. A cat acts spoiled whenever it likes and usually goes anywhere.
Q. What is your favorite food?
A. Ramen
Because there are no color pens at home, it was hard to just draw a black and white ramen. Lately, I can't have some that often but when things have calm down a little more, I want to go to eat some as soon as possible.
Q. Speaking of summer, what image does it make?
A. BBQ
Summer is near and approximately every year I definitely have bbq with my friends. If we can have the life as usual, I want to do one again for this year! I love having yakisoba as the last meal.
Q. The hair style you want to have next?
A. Short hair
Because I am not cutting my hair this period, I want to make it shorter! I once had a short hair and it was really easy to dry it with the dryer! I still do not know when it will be but I am thinking I want to to have a short hair again someday.
Q. The place that you want to visit?
A. London
It was the hardest (to draw). I drew it for the first time, but because Big Ben is the place that i will definitely visit atleast once in my life, i did my best to draw it!! The reason i want to go there is completely because of Detective Conan. It’s my dream to take a picture in front of it!
Q. If you made your own original character..?
A. Toranosuke
I tried adding a tiger element because of my name, but somehow it became like Shimajirou (a character in 1993 anime, “Shima Shima Tora no Shimajirou). From the neck to lower body it’s completely Conan-kun though...
Q. What is the image that comes to your mind when you hear “CanCam”?
A. Flower
I think CanCam-san is full of glitz and beauty, so i use flowers and drew it like a poster! I think the drawing that i simply finished describing CanCam-san well!!
Q. What do you think you were in your previous life?
A. Angel
I once talked about it on the radio, i had a dream, and because i can fly in that dream, i think maybe i was an angel with feathered wings in my previous life. Probably this is the first time in my life to draw an angel.
MESSAGE FROM TAIGA
Even on personal blogs that i’ve been doing recently, i’ve been drawing and posting it there even though it’s all just scribles, this time i’m happy to have a wonderful project like this. I think drawing can release stress for people who are good or even bad at it, so if you like it feel free to draw with me!
