(no subject)
More tired than I thought I'd be today. I had the girls working on various bits of housework (which they did fairly well at). I'm hoping to teach them that cleaning is a necessary part of existence. Maybe it'll encourage them to clean their room more. :P
Secretly, though, I miss the cleaning service. :P :P
I didn't do my bathroom, but i did straighten up our bedroom, put comforters in some of the HUGE Ziploc bags (best things EVAR). I vacuumed the living room again, since it didn't LOOk like Sarah had done it. I could be wrong, though, the way her brother tears through the house.
I got the kitchen cleaned up and lefse started. No, i DO NOT plan to wimp out on this batch. For one, the potatoes were MUCH drier, so they should mix up properly. Sarah enjoys helping me roll the dough balls. I plan to cook at least part of them before the family comes over for dinner.
Oh yes, The Parents and Grandma are coming over. And yes, Jay brought his layout upstairs. And YES, I DO appreciate it. I'll be making spaghetti with meat sauce, sauteed veggies and garlic toast. I'll have to remember to set some aside before adding a lot of spices to it, so Grandma can eat, too.
The Kibitzer is finally done and with the printer. I can relax on that score. Actually, I ahve been relaxing - I've been pretty sluggish today, it seems like. I actually napped for a half-hour before Jay got home. I'm ready for bed now.
