I don't know what to write tonight. I guess just a post to let you know I'm still here?
Ren Faire yesterday. Exhausting, though the weather was ok. Got my usual trophy sunburn, complete with outline of my dragon necklace. I wonder now if I'd really fit in with the roleplay - I was never very good at the formality involved.
I wonder sometimes if I fit in anywhere, even my own family.
Father's Day dinner at my parents' this evening. It went well, though I think Mom's starting to get the impression that something more than dinner is needed for a complete evening. Jay isn't a big eater, like my parents were - the kids are taking after him. Dinner is usually pretty quickly dispensed with.
Slowly putting the Kibitzer together, I'm hoping for a couple more articles, so I won't have to write any. I may have to, though.
Whole-grain oatmeal is pretty amazing with just butter on it.
I need my meds. The other side of the mania is catching up with me - I just want to sleep now.
I started pulling the morning glory and other weeds out of my neighbor's garden. He's a widower, knows nothing about gardening (by his own admission), and his yard's looking run-down. I freed a lovely tall rosebush with salmon-colored flowers today; tomorrow I tackle the two small bushes on the other side of the sidewalk. I should have picked up some yard waste bags at the store.
So. *shrugs* I plan to stay close to home the next few days - hopefully my mother will cooperate and let me be for a while.
