*smug and grinning*
I'm OFFICIALLY the Caboose Kibitzer Editor for the Mid-Continent Region of the National Model Railroad Association. My very first "real" graphic design job.
Richard Napper, the Regional Director, tried to downplay how difficult it could be - I suppose he thought he was talking to a computer n00b. That's ok - it's rare that circumstances bring a designer into a position like this, especially in a hobbyist organization like the NMRA.
All that said, the layout of the magazine itself is pretty good - there are a few things that I'd like to change, the first being the hyper-busy cover image. The page layout seems good. I'd love to do themed issues with imagery to match, but I'm not sure how that would fly, especially since articles are voluntarily submitted by regional members, not by paid regular authors.
God, I'm SO excited!
