OH MY GOD. i totally agree with la Esparanca. i have the first five volumes, though i've never gotten around to taking the plastic off/reading the fifth one. i liked the characters, the first volume looked like it had set up a pretty awesome setting and...nothing! \D:/

if volume 7 redeems the series let me know :P

I will... but damn this series irritates me o__- and the author at the end is like 'Wow, that was an intense volume!' and I'm like 'NO IT WASN'T DX'

Gintama does = love! And I totally understand about the crappy day and laughing at it makes things better ^__^ Okita now has a very special place in my heart.

Okita's a sweetie... when he's not blowing stuff up. But Hijikata's the one who holds a special place in -my- heart. Him, and Gintoki himself.

I love all of the Shinsengumi though.
