"Quarter of a century" sounds so old...

And so, another birthday passes quietly. Over the last couple of years I've gotten less excited about celebrating them and usually don't even tell people it's coming up (yet there's always some stubborn friends who remember :P). Those who do remember I have to plead with to not get me anything--I really prefer it that way, most of the time.

Regardless though, I always end up with gifts!! This year from Slinky I got this amazing book (I had asked for it but that's beside the point):

Ever since I'd seen scans of some of the pages up on Tumblr, I've wanted this book. Now I have it, in all its glorious hardcover glory, and I can't wait to begin learning from it. Already I've seen so many places I can improve my technique and this just makes me positively giddy.

Aside from Slinky's visit I went and got my hair cut and dyed it at home with her help, but the remainder of my birthday was pretty ordinary. We watched a few movies, I tidied the place up a little (but NOWHERE near as much as I would have liked to) and I packed my bags for Korea. In about 3 hours the cab is picking us up to take us to the airport and Hattie's gone to nap those last few hours while I muck about and stay awake so I can sleep on the plane.

We're going to try and get into a fansigning for Elisabeth; first 100 people to the ticket booth get a pass to the fansign and Park Euntae is going to be there. I had a whole freakout after g_aria told me about the fansign earlier, and I've had a little time to calm down since then. I wonder if he'll remember me from last year *-* I legitimately have a crush on this man.

God I've missed Seoul. Can't wait to be back.
