So a friend of Jay's boy Rich is running another Mage campaign. Since Mark's Mage campaign (where I was playing the druidic child, Kynne) and his Technocracy campaign (where I was playing Shiina Jameson, hacker and smartass extraordinaire) fell through due to our storyteller's lack of enthusiasm, I agreed (along with Justin and Jay) to join the new campaign. That sentence did not have enough parentheses in it! I decided to reroll toons instead of crossing over Kynne to the new game, and I'm glad I did because I'm LOVING my new character concept. Here's a picture for you to get an idea:
THIS IS THE SAME PERSON that's why they look alike. Yep Isolde has multiple personalities.
Isolde is a Lawful Good Paladin(?) -type character. As a knight, she is somewhat boyish in appearance and nature since it was not generally acceptable for a female to become a knight during the Middle Ages (really with the exception of sneaky sneaky girls like Jeanne D'arc it was unheard of). Isolde had a terrible horrible traumatic experience as a child (still working on that part. Given the nature of her condition the "traumatic experience" will probably have to be related to childhood sexual abuse) and she developed Dissociative Identity Disorder (Multiple Personalities to the layperson) as a result, to cope with the trauma. Her alter (only one because creating more than one alter would result in a lot of extra work and character sheets) is Cynthia AKA "Cyn" (hehe). Cyn is Neutral Evil and specializes in mental torture. Cyn only appears when triggered by extreme emotional stress, fear, or some other reference to her original trauma. Isolde has no idea that she has another alter state so is confused upon switching back to the "core" personality. Isolde's name is a sneaky reference to the book "Sybil" (about a woman with multiple personalities) and Joan of Arc (D'arc --> Archi = Fortress in Latin, Archi + French spelling = Arquis --> Darquis SHUT UP MY CHAIN OF LOGIC WORKS IN MY HEAD).
TL;DR
