Summary: Ryo and Tatsuya have been best friends since they were young but unknown to Tatsuya, Ryo is in love with him. One day, something happened which made Ryo wish that he and Tatsuya were never friends and that he has all grown up. What happens when he wakes up one morning, all grown up without Tatsuya by his side?

Ryo sat at Tatsuya's living room while the other was in the kitchen finishing his cooking. Ryo looked around the apartment. He saw Tatsuya's guitar on one corner, several song sheets on the coffee table and some schedule forms on the sofa.
Tatsuya watched Ryo from the kitchen. He can't believe that his ex best friend was there to see him. It was like nothing happened between them in the past.
The last time he saw Ryo face to face was during their high school graduation. After that, he only sees him in magazines and in the news. Ryo's popularity started during college when he, Nakamaru and Koki started making songs. T&T Company hired even before they graduated because of their talent and they gave the company numerous hit songs. Though he doesn't see him, Tatsuya knows what Ryo has become. He was known as the poison tongue. He speaks what is on his mind and doesn't care what other people say about him. He was feared by both his seniors and juniors at work and recently, he was hailed as the greatest song writer of their generation.
As Tatsuya watched the Ryo who has been sitting in his living room, he remembered the old Ryo. The ‘Ryo’ who was always by his side to protect him. The one who fetches him at home before school and the one who walks him home each and every day. The ‘Ryo’ he was watching was different from the ‘Ryo’ he has known for the past 10 years. This is the ‘Ryo’ he was missing so dearly. The ‘Ryo’ he wanted to have back.
As Ryo continued to look around, he found something interesting under Tatsuya's coffee table. It was their high school year book. He got it and was about to open it when Tatsuya came.
"I prepared something to eat." Tatsuya said
"Oh...You shouldn't have. I'm fine." Ryo said.
"It's lunch time and I know that a person like you don't get to have a proper meal. Eat." Tatsuya said. He then went to the dining table and sat.
Ryo stood up and followed him still holding the year book. He also sat down and watched as Tatsuya eats. After a few minutes, he helped himself with the food that Tatsuya prepared. When they finished eating, Tatsuya took the dishes to the sink and left Ryo alone on the table. Once the plates were gone, Ryo placed the year book on top of the dining table.
"Mind if I look at this?" Ryo asked Tatsuya and the other nodded as a response.
Ryo turned the cover of the year book. He looked at all the class pictures starting from 3-D to see which class he was on. When he reached 3-A, he leaned closer to take a better look. He and Tatsuya were both in class 3-A together with Nakamaru,Tanaka,Akanishi,Kamenashi and Yamashita. He looked at himself,
During their grade school years, he and Tatsuya stood side by side in their class pictures but in this photo, they were away from each other. The one standing beside him were Nakamaru and Koki while Kamenashi,Akanishi and Yamashita stood by Tatsuya's side. He also noticed how grumpy his face looked like. It was as if he hated everything that was happening and when he looked at Tatsuya's expression, it was blank. No emotions. He wasn't used to seeing Tatsuya like that in photos. He was used to seeing his best friend all smiles whenever a camera was brought out.
Ryo continued to scan the year book. He saw more photos of him, all of them were taken together with Nakamaru and Tanaka and his facial expressions never changed. He also saw Tatsuya's photos mostly with Yamashita alone but sometimes together with Kamenashi and Akanishi. The difference between his expressions with Ryo is that in some photos, Tatsuya had a weak smile on his face.
When he was done with it, he looked up to Tatsuya who was washing the dishes.
"Why don't we have a photo together?" Ryo asked.
Tatsuya chuckled.
"Why should we have one?" Tatsuya asked back as he placed the plates on the rack.
He took off his apron and wiped his hands on a towel then approached Ryo on the dining table.
"It's not like we're the best of friends during high school Nishikido. You hated me from the bottom a=of your heart. You cursed me and my friends each and every day." Tatsuya said
"And you? Did you hate me when I hated you?" Ryo asked
Tatsuya stood in silence
"Did you, Tatsuya? Did you hate me too?" Ryo asked again.
"Don't call me Tatsuya."
"Why not? That's what I call you before. Why can't I call you that now? And you haven't answered my question." Ryo said.
"What happened to 'Donkey Face' and 'Fish Lips'?"
"I never meant any of that." Ryo said.
Tatsuya laughed at what Ryo said.
"You never meant any of that? After all those years of calling me those names, now you're telling me that you didn't mean any of that?"
"Yes. I didn't mean any of that. You still--"
"I hated you. I hate you so much that I can't stand seeing you each and every day of my high school life! I always wished that graduation will come so that I won't be with you or see you again." Tatsuya said.
"You don't mean that. I know you wanted us to be back to what we were before." Ryo said
"No! I mean that! I never want us to be back to what we were. I never wanted you to be my best friend again." Tatsuya said.
Ryo shook his head to show his disagreement.
"No Tatsuya. I know you don't mean everything that you said."
Tatsuya gave a weak laugh. He walked to the living room and sat on the sofa. Ryo stood up and followed him.
"What exactly happened to us, Tatsuya? Tell me. I can't remember." Ryo said
Tatsuya did not answer. He just looked at the floor and massaged his temples.
"I don't know what is happening to my life right now, Tatsuya. I don't remember anything that happened for the past 10 years. I skipped everything that happened after that day. Your 14th birthday." Ryo said.
Tatsuya lifted his head when Ryo said this.
"Honestly? I don't remember anything too. I don't remember because I threw all those memories away." Tatsuya said.
"Tatsuya, please? Believe me. I don't know anything! I don't remember anything! The only thing I remember is the fight we had because of Yamapi and then I skipped everything and now I'm here. I woke up today knowing nothing of the past 10 years."Ryo explained
"You know, you shouldn't have entered the music industry. You should've become an actor.Stop all this lies Nishikido!"
"I'm not lying Tatsuya!"
"What makes you think I'll believe you?"
"You know I will never lie to you! You know me! You know the REAL me!" Ryo said.
He was right. Ryo never lied to him. Even when they were no longer best friends, Ryo never lied to him. He said everything he wanted to say to him directly. He never once hid what was on his mind.
"You might've not lied to me before but that doesn't mean you won't lie to me today." Tatsuya said.
Before Ryo could respond, the buzzer sounded and Tatsuya stood up to see who it is. Tatsuya opened the door.
"Hey Tat-chan! Have you eaten?" The guy asked as soon as he saw Tatsuya.
"Yes Pi, I just finished eating." Tatsuya said.
Yamashita let himself in. He was holding a plastic from a convenience store.
"Are you sure? I bought some food down the street---" He stopped talking when he noticed someone standing in the living room.
Yamashita stared at the man for a minute. He dropped the plastic and came running towards Ryo.
"What are you doing here?!" He asked as he held Ryo by his shirt.
"Let go of me!" Ryo said as he tried to push Yamapi away.
Tatsuya who was standing by the door ran up to separate the two.
"What are you doing here? How dare you come here? How dare you---"
"Let go of him, Pi!" Tatsuya shouted.
When Yamapi heard this, he loosened his grip on Ryo's shirt and slowly let go of him.
"You ba--" Ryo was about to say something but Tatsuya interrupted him
"Leave." Tatsuya said pointing the door to Ryo.
"We haven't talked yet." Ryo said.
"You've said enough. Leave." Tatsuya said.
Ryo just stood there not moving.
"Didn't you hear him? He told you to leave!" Yamapi said.
Ryo glared at Yamapi then looked at Tatsuya. The other was not making eye contact to him and was now shaking.
"I’ll be back, Tatsuya. I promise that." Ryo said then he walked out the door and closed it.
When Ryo was gone, Yamapi went closer to Tatsuya.
"Are you okay?" Yamapi asked.
Tatsuya shook his head. His body was shaking. Yamapi saw this and hugged the other.
"Everything's fine. He already left. It's okay if you want to cry." Yamapi said
When he heard those words, Tatsuya let out his tears and hugged Yamapi back.
"It's okay. Just let it all out." Yamapi said as Tatsuya cried.

Ryo walked out of the building looking like a lost child. He doesn't know where to go or what to do. He was really lost. While he was walking, he was also crying. Seeing Tatsuya with Yamapi made him feel uncomfortable. There was something wrong with it. He can't bear the fact that Yamapi is the one who's at Tatsuya's side now and not him.
He walked and walked until he reached the train station. He leaned on the wall and carefully slid down until he was sitting on the floor. He brought his knees up to his chest and wrapped his hands around them. He thought of the way he and Tatsuya used to be when they were young and thought of how they were now. He can't accept everything that was happening to his life. He cried and cried not caring whoever might see him.
