Every hear, the battle lines are drawn. Weapons are chosen and sides are taken. Then it comes down to the battle...
The Tree.
As I grew up, I remember having festive trees, ones that looked, though colorful, tastefully decorated. And as I grew, trends changed from having every color possible tossed onto the tree to having matching things.
And as they changed. I saw how nice trees looked. So as we've decorated, I've tried to keep things neutral. Reds and silvers. Reds and golds... then as we've moved to bigger places, we've gotten different trees. So.. now I've got a tasteful set of blue and silver orniments. Everything compliments each other. The tinsil, the angel, the orniments.
True.. color is good. But hanging enough colors to where the tree looks like santa barfed on it and then rudoplh sneezed on it... it gets to be too much.
When we had smaller trees, our angel was red and gold... so was our primary colors.
WE got a bigger tree, thus a new angel... who is blue and silver.. white.. lovely. So the orniments and tinsil I bought compliment her.
Is it hard to understand green and red and gold and .... don't really go with a tree that is mainly blues and silver?
