Wrote this, like, months ago. Have been in my folder for so long - along with my other fanfictions. Somehow, compared to writing, posting them is more a pain. lol. But here it is.

Summary : Kame came to Jin's farewell party,
Author's note : Sorry for writing about this again. But well, I've began to accept the fact now. And Ueda cheering on Jin had so much effect (good one, I assure you) on me than I ever imagined.
“You come.”
Jin stared at the figure in front of him; a man with short, highlighted brown hair dressed in expensive-looking jeans, ragged t-shirt covered with black, leather jacket, accompanied with several accessories and an aviator covering his eyes - a figure that could not be other than Kamenashi Kazuya.
Kame smiled a little. “Can’t be long, though.” He eyed the crowded club full with dancing people, accompanied by blaring music. He surely could notice there were more foreign faces than Japanese in the club; if Jin was going to leave for LA, shouldn’t he spend time with the Japanese instead?
“They said you probably won’t make it.” Jin said offhandedly, or so he thought. “They’re all inside.”
The younger man knew by ‘they’ Jin meant the other KAT-TUN members. Indeed he could see Taguchi showing off his non-existent billiard skill to Kis-My-Ft2’s Nikaido. However, the sight of Nikaido made Kame frowned.
“Nika-chan is not yet of age, Akanishi.”
Jin spared a glance at the said junior. “Well, he’s almost of age, anyway. You’re not coming in?” he added hastily before Kame could extend the matter.
Kame bit his lips to prevent him from insisting on Nikaido’s matter. He could foresee that Kis-My-Ft2 had a bright future ahead; it would be very bad if one of the members got caught (or accused) underage drinking, and not to mention, Nikaido was his favourite in the group. Perhaps he had been hanging out too much with Uchi this lately that he began to take the thing seriously now. And talking about underage drinking, his eyes had just spotted Kusano among the crowd; so he was one of the Army now?
“Kamenashi, are you coming?” Jin repeated his question, louder this time to beat the music.
Kame woke with a start. He shook his head. “Nah, I’m just dropping by.”
Jin’s face fell even though he tried very hard not to show it. “You’re sure? Pi is inside. He would love to see you. Just one drink?”
Kame shook his head again. “Sorry, Akanishi. I’m driving, you know. Say hi from me to Pi and the others. And well, safe flight tomorrow. Don’t drink too much.”
“Yeah, okay.” Jin answered half-heartedly. So Kame wouldn’t spend some time for him even when he was about to leave. So much of them being the AkaKame that was so much loved to the extent that they had to cease every interaction on air just to tone down the popularity - this alone could prove that they were not that close (and definitely not a gay couple, as well, because that mattered.).
As if he could read Jin’s mind, Kame drew a smile and patted him on the shoulder. “Don’t make that face. It doesn’t matter even if I’m not here. It’s not like you’re not coming back.”
Jin took his time to reply, and when he did, it wasn’t really replying what Kame had just said. “You’re driving?”
Kame raised an eyebrow at the topic diversion but nodded anyway. “My car is outside.”
“Let’s talk outside, then. It’s too loud here.”
Kame followed Jin to his car, where they settled down and leaned on. Jin’s face was quite gloomy; unlike the one that had greeted Kame when he first stepped in the club.
“What’s wrong, Akanishi?” Kame asked softly, glancing slightly at his watch. He still could stay for a few minutes and Jin looked like wanting to talk to the younger one; something he had not been for so long.
Jin spread his gaze around, though the only thing visible in his sight was the club entrance. “It feels like I’m really going this time, the way they do things now.”
Kame sighed. He knew very well what Jin was talking about. All the rumours, all the expectations, all the guesses, all the reactions… It really felt like Jin was leaving KAT-TUN and never coming back, even though no official word had been issued. Of course, it was not entirely wrong. He, Kame, had been hearing things for some times now. They were not really trying to hide it from him; after all he was the sensible one. It was only the matter of time now for them to lose their A but Kame was not going to tell Jin that; he was not going to be the one telling him that. “It is not you alone, Akanishi. We all are. We all are going.”
Jin did not reply to that, only needing slightly as a sign that he was listening. His face expression remained unchanged. Kame took it as a cue that he should keep talking. He was exceptionally good at saying comforting things, after all. He at least could use it for times like this.
“You know why it is called Big World Tour?” and without waiting for Jin’s reply, he continued. “You said it should be called Asia Tour instead. But it is a world-wide tour, Akanishi. Because you’re to perform outside Asia and you are one of us. You are one of KAT-TUN.”
Jin was startled by the opinion. He shifted his gaze from two girls who had just exited the club to his band mate beside him. The idol tried to search some resemblance of the pretty face and the face of his best friend he once had about 13 years ago and gave up after some seconds; it was hard to do so with the aviator put on. “You really could think well, Kamenashi; I feel guilty that I made you dropping out high school with me.”
“You didn’t make me.” Kame corrected as he glanced at his watch again. “It was my own decision.”
Jin ignored the reply but took notice of the action. He sighed softly. “Well, it seems that you can’t stay long so I’m not going to keep you any longer. Thanks for dropping by, Kamenashi.”
Kame smiled at the A. “Sorry I can’t stay. You wouldn’t want me to spoil your party, anyway; you know Kamenashi Kazuya and party don’t really go well together. All the best there. Take care of your health.”
“You, too. Don’t overwork yourself.” Jin reminded him, even though he knew it was something useless to remind to the likes of Kame. “If there’s anything you want from there, just tell me.”
“Sure. See you later, then.” Kame smiled for the last time before giving Jin a friendly hug briefly and turned to open his car.
Jin ran his hand over his long hair. “Yeah, in five months time.”
The engine was started as Kame pulled the seatbelt over himself. He put his hands on the steering wheel but seemed hesitating for a while. Jin noticed this at the corner of his eyes.
“What’s wrong, Kamenashi?”
“How funny. Just a little ago you were this idiot who kept going ‘Kazu, Kazu!’ annoying me during practices.” Kame’s voice shook a little as he spoke, though he was smiling in spite of himself. “Now you are leaving as the first one to perform aboard.”
Silence filled the space as Jin looked down to his limited edition sneakers. There was something in Kame’s voice that made him all speechless.
Kame felt like bricking himself for bringing up the matter. It was like a mute agreement between them not to mention anything about the changes that had occurred. He cleared his mind and focused his gaze on the road. “Sorry, forget that. I should be going now. Safe flight tomorrow.”
Jin watched as Kame’s car sped up leaving the club compound, and leaving him alone. He slowly dragged himself to return to the club and the congratulating people; to enjoy himself on this land for one last time for a long time.
Despite all these, he thought as he pushed the door open, I might be still that kid deep down inside, Kazu.
Comments if you like it. Or if you don't, as well. I'm open for criticism, but not flame, of course. ^^
