Summer Fun.
Ok Ok... I know I have not been Ms. Updates recently but there are all prefectly good reasons for this.
Week after my last entry in May: Got my wisdom teeth pulled. Got infected. Had to pack up my room and move out.
First week of June: Avaition cruise in San Diego
Second week: Submarine cruise in Pt. Loma
Third week: Communications Training in Annapolis
Fourth week: Marine Corps training in Quantico VA
So far in July: Been in Halevia, Hawaii on Oahu island.
So see... all perfectly logical and reasonable excuses.
So where to begin. On my summer training I got to fly one helicopter in Mexico and ride in two others. I got to fly mini jets that they use for training every pilot in the Navy. I got to spend one night underway, underwater on a submarine. I got to experince a sinking ship in this awesome simulator which is pretty much a sinking ship they put you on. I got to fire a whole bunch of explosives and fire weapons. I got to attack and defend positions in the woods/swamps of Virgina. Overall, very diverse.
Hawaii was both good and bad. I went to meet Johnny's parents because that is where he is from. His parents and his friends loved me, at least they acted like they did. I went to the beach almost every day. I got to get really close to Johnny which I dont know if that is a good thing or not. Three weeks of being a normal person with him was awesome. It was kind of boring though because johnny wouldn't take me to most of the tourista things to do, because after growing up in Hawaii for his whole life he hates tourists. So I spent three weeks in hawaii playing MTG, creating deck ideas, talking about WOD, and playing video games. I did finally get to see all of X the seires, FMA, and Noir.
I'll be home in texas for another week, but other than sethie I really cant budget too much social hang out time because this is probably the only time I will be alone with mom for the rest of the year, and I really have missed her.
I got my hair cut today. I look like a mix of Anne hathaway from The Devil Wears Prada and Keira Knightly from Domino (as a teenager). Its big red fluffy bangs. Tappered hair around my face. I got the bangs so that I could look more feminine in the uniform. Mission accomplished. I bet Johnny's going to think I look like an emo kid now with all this hair in my face.
In other news I have read 10 books so far this summer. I went to this used book shop in Hawaii. It was fantastic. I got an entire big box of books. I need to get the anita blake books I am missing. But in all reality I am very happy because after I get my credit card debit cleared up I think I am going to start buying anime/comics again. So I am very happy about that.
Anyhow, I think its time to keep shopping for patterns. I am going to an anime convention in DC in Feburary. Johnny and I are going to dress up as Sloth and Greed from FMA. Sloth is just never done right. She gets ignored all the time by Lust cosplayers. And I am going to make a rockin' sloth, but it will be kind of hard to fix my hair now, but it will still come out good.
