I'm not sure, but I think we maaay have the choice of a purely essay-based thesis and one that is more a project than thesis and involves its own experiment. Not terribly keen atm on doing some really basic pile-of-crap experiment with the resources available to me at undergraduate level, so I will throw out some ideas for the former:
- Something to do with attitudes towards white people/westerners in Hong Kong - I've been wanting to look into this since college. Especially interested in examining the positive racism that goes on in this context.
- Discrimination and societal attitudes towards people diagnosed with personality disorders
- Anything on DID. Anyyythiiing (not going to happen, amount of research is too small)
- Kind of bored of ASD at the moment, but if my interest comes back, then something about the lack of support/awareness regarding autistic adults
- Psychosis/Schizophrenia
- Psychopathy/sociopathy (but not how it relates to the criminal/justice system...just steer away from that in general)
- Freudian/Jungian ideas
- An interesting idea from Liam - do video games have benefits? e.g. increased response time, increased pattern recognition, whatever. Would need to use a very basic game tho.
Will think of more in the gap between now and the time I actually have to write it.
