Haha, that's kind of funny that I didn't recognize McBride's name. Stars of the Lid are definitely one of the most important music ensembles in my life, but maybe that's just where the music lies. I've never seen a picture of either him or Wiltzie. SotL is still something mythical in my mind. It's like Tired Sounds is the musical equvivalent of the ten commanments. They just came out out of nowhere. Magic.
But I'll have to check that out as well. I have sort of gotten away from checking out Kranky releases. Don't know why, but it's a shame. I haven't heard Dawn Smithson, Boduf Songs or Lichens yet either. Have you?
