when asked how the boredoms show was last night, all i could do was conjure up an inane superlative -- 'amazing' or 'excellent' or something of that kin. and those words mean nothing. or, at least, nothing compared to what i wish i could share, what i wish i could say about their performance. the truth is, it utterly defied any words that could appear here. it was that tension in the air before they appeared on stage. that feeling in the bottom of my stomach when the first drums sounded and cymbols splashed. that incessant engery that resonated in my feet that were too excited to stay still. those flailing limbs, torrid rhythms, and indecipherable vocals. that sound of the rising sun and the crashing waves. that everything.
possibly the best two hours i have ever seen take place on a stage.
