It was a weekend
Eff it’s hot! 107 my ass. I’ve done 107 before and it wasn’t this bad. Hell, 112 wasn’t this bad. More like 130 bitches. Fuck, I went outside for not 10 minutes yesterday and just standing around I was covered in sweat. Now, if it were humid out this would mean nothing but being that it’s a “dry heat” that’s fucking hot. Fuck, it’s hot.
I watched The Holiday and I, Robot this weekend. The Holiday had so much potential but Nancy Meyers, while she can write, should never again direct. She completely killed a beautiful script with a great cast. And damn, why must Jude Law be so hot? I mean the movie had the potential to be so good that I could almost like Cameron Diaz. Don’t know why I’m not a fan of her. She seems nice, sort of.
I, Robot had some interesting aspects but… a pumped up Will Smith is icky and he can be so cute but my head just turned away from the screen every time he took his shirt off. The character of Susan Calvin is supposed to be an ugly uber nerd who’s sexy ‘cause she has a brain. What-the-fuck are you casting a model for? I don’t care that this is supposed to be a Hollywood blockbuster you totally missed the point of the short stories the movie is based on which is even more obvious when you elude to the Zeroth Law of Robotics and dismantle it. Moreover the zeroth law, emotional robots and a cop are never once in the I, Robot shorts! You should have called it Caves of Steel. Sure, you didn’t even have the story right for that book, but at least you would have been slightly closer. Yes, I’m an uber nerd who loves Isaac Asimov so much I want to name my first born after him (regardless of sex). Oh you all wish I was joking right now, don’t you. I need to remake the movie but better - much, much better.
