First of all, thank you! I really look forward to seeing what you come up with! :D
For more general things, I love romance. A lot. It doesn't necessarily have to be fluffy, though; I also really like pining, or awkward UST, or pretty much anything along those lines. I don't like excessive angst or unhappy endings. Endings that are sad but have hope are fine, but I don't really want anything bleak. I am also not a big fan of navel-gazing fics--you know, where the character spends the entire fic thinking without really doing anything. Lots of introspection interspersed with action is fine, but it has to have that action. (And by action, I just mean things that happen--doesn't have to be action/adventure or anything.)
Also, despite my love of romance, I am perfectly fine with gen! But in this case, I would prefer more of the action and less of the introspection.
I would be perfectly happy with any of the three fandoms I requested. I got into the Lord Peter Wimsey books by Dorothy Sayers only recently so that's fresher and I would particularly like a fic there, but please do not feel yourself obligated to write that if that's not our matching fandom or you have an idea you like for one of the others. I will still bounce around with glee at seeing Garth Nix or Philip Pullman. :D
For more fandom-specific things:
Peter Wimsey: Here I requested Peter/Harriet, and I really would prefer that it be romance. If you don't have an idea, I remember Peter telling Harriet in Have His Carcase that he was going to teach her to ride a horse once they were married--that might be interesting. Also, if you could bring yourself to write smut for these two, that'd be great (since I've not managed to find a single high-rated Peter/Harriet fic), but don't feel you have to.
His Dark Materials: Here I requested Lyra and Will, though take that as either Lyra or Will, since The Amber Spyglass makes it a little difficult to have them both. Still, if you can manage it, great! Otherwise, the kind of fic I'd really like to see here is outsider observations, like the people at home realizing how different Will and/or Lyra are after everything they've gone through. If it's Lyra, bonus if Serafine Pekkala or Iorek show up and people are freaked because Lyra's friends with a witch and an armored bear.
Abhorsen series: Here I requested Lirael, Nick, Sabriel, and Touchstone, though I will be fine with either Lirael and Nick or Sabriel and Touchstone. You don't have to have all four in the same fic, though of course I wouldn't object if you did. What I'd really like here is either UST or romance, and if you can manage an adventure with the Dead, that would make me really happy.
