I think this may spread into a two week long rant about just how intersting this event is that melbourne is so kindly hosting, and how it's effecting our beloved city.
I had to 'dash' into the CBD on my lunch break in Nth melb today. Only to be confronted with elizabeth and bourke shut off. So walk I did to south bank, or tryed. There seems to be hords of bemused and vaugely intersted people being herded around the CBD with poorly spoken people yelling out stuff like "This is Spencers st, WOOPS! Southern Cross station! Trains arrive here! This is federatioin square! Stuff happens here!"
But all these people move in groups of 20 to 40 people and take up the sidewalk and spill onto the road. Where all the interstate plated cars are being honked at and smashed into visiously by locals at right hook turns.
BE WARNED!
If you were as silly as I and believed the lull of sat, sun, mon was a further sign of peace on tues before onslaught of Weds. BE WRONG! Be very very wrong.
Amen
