10th floor: Ryn's Penthouse: Tuesday Afternoon

Ryn glared at her, her eyes taking in Shush's fists and face. "I've never made you choose." She took a breath "Ever." She spat out. She moved from the bed to Shush in less then a blink glaring down into her face. "I let you fuck that animal at the bookstore. It doesn't matter that you no longer fuck him, you did it all the same. You leave for weeks at a time for your book and I am here waiting for you. Missing you." Ryn's words seemed to growl from her throat as she spoke. Ryn seemed to almost shake from rage as she stared at her, her hands coming up to cup Shush's face as she stared at her. "Choose, your old life and the book or us; if you're so inclined to impose a choice on me, it's only fair I force one on you."

This wasn't what she wanted, this wasn't how it was supposed to go. She was supposed to kiss her, tell her it would be ok. Tell her that she loved her more then life.

Ryn face softened, "I love you." She said in a quiet voice. "When I put this ring on your finger I meant it forever; past life, past death." She sighed, "I never force you to do anything love, I've never made demands. Why do you insist on making them on me?"

Sugars' face reddened and she stalked around the room, trying to calm herself but failed and had to pull out a cigarette to smoke or else she was going to explode. Taking a long drag on her cigarette, she sat at her vanity mirror, fingers trailing under her eyes as she stared at herself, in turn staring at Ryn. God, I look horrible! She thought angrily, picking up the powder and patting her face with it, cigarette between her fingers.

Hey, atleast she was calm now.

Ryn walked over slowly, she ran her hand to over Shush's hand to the cigarette. Taking it carefully from her fingers she took a long drag off it as well and then laid it back into Shush's hand. The smoke leaving her mouth slowly.

"For Fucks' sake." She growled, powdering her face some more and then standing up suddenly, kicking the small seat away from the vanity mirror; her mind was wrestling with her heart and she felt hurt that Ryn would even be with someone else. "I.." Bottom lip quivering as she looked at Ryn and then away. "..I promised to be with you, only you..No one else. You know how HARD that is for me?" Sugar angrily wiped the tears off her face. "For fucks sake! I just put on bloody makeup!" She growled slumped against the wall she was leaned against, she slid to the floor and angrily sucked on her cigarette.

"I do." Ryn said quietly, she looked sad; she didn't want Sugar to cry and she certainly didn't want to be the cause of it. "I-" Ryn was at a loss for words, her own heart doing battle. She loved Sugar, her fragile porcelin doll. Ryn reached over and brushed away one of her tears carefully so that she wouldn't mess up her make up.

"I miss you so much when your away." Ryn said finally, she swallowed hard. "I can't even lay in our bed when you're not here." She spoke softly. "I love you so much. I don't...I don't want to have to miss you anymore or say goodbye."

Sugar looked at her angrily, and in her head she vowed to spend so much time with Ryn that she'd never see that stupid girl again but she knew it wouldn't work, George filled a space she couldn't. Wow, you can call her pain now. Her chest ached and a hand came up to where her heart layed. "Yeah.." She said lowly, sadly, not looking at Ryn at all.

Ryn covered her hand over Sugar's. "I'm sorry." Ryn said, her eyes swimming with unfallen tears as she stared at her hand over Sugar's. "It wasn't ever supposed to be like this. I wanted-" Ryn shook her head, "It doesn't matter now does it? You're hurting and I caused it. I'll never be able to take it back. I can't ever make it ok can I?" She said barely getting the words out.

"Maybe I should move into my own apartment..." She thought outloud, maybe it would give Ryn the space she so desperately needed, maybe Sugar wouldn't fee so crowded with all these horrible memories that she was battling and maybe it would make so that if Ryn wanted her, she'd come to see her.

Ryn shook her head, a cry choked in her throat. "No, I- I don't want that." She said, her tears falling rapidly now. "I want to m-marry you. We were supposed to always be together..." She choked back another cry. "Don't leave..."

Sugar looked at her sadly, snubbing out her cigarette on the carpet without care, it could be fixed, her hand cupped Ryns' cheek. "Maybe it's what we need to do." Her eyes spilling tears subconciously as her thumb stroked under the other womans eye. "It's okay, really."

Ryn cried harder, she shook her head, her hands trying to cling to every inch of Sugar. "I love you" She said desperately as if it would make Sugar understand how much she loved and needed her. "I need you."

Ryn's eyes focused on Sugar's and she swallowed hard. "Will you stay in town then?" She sniffled a little.

Sugar nodded. "I will but I'm still considering moving to another apartment, just for now."
